The GOOD NEWS is that just south of Indianapolis where Freeper Charles Henrickson is the hourly forecast shows it will be only partly cloudy at Eclipse time so lets hope he gets a clear view of it. If he does, perhaps he will understand my own obsession with eclipses since I viewed one on a cloudless day years ago. (Or maybe he will still think I am a nut.)

Fox Business was just broadcasting from Niagara Falls and Rochester, NY. They are both supposed to be completely overcast.

Sunny blue skies here in New England.

I learned with Comet Kohoutek back in ‘73 (and the Harmonic Convergence in...88?) to avoid the hype when it comes to celestial happenings. Weather and overselling kill a lot events.

So far outskirts of Cleveland are near perfect with just a hint of cirrus to this point.

Pretty much 100% cloud cover here in Houston, TX, but we’re not in the totality zone anyway.

Has been amusing to watch the local area weathermen duck & dodge the past week with their weather predictions. Even up to the late forecast last night they still wouldn't commit on exactly what would go down, choosing to focus talk about the storms tomorrow. The fearporn being peddled about mass crowds, traffic snarls, collapse of communications used as justification to declare a state of disaster/emergency have not materialized. It's been handled like a mix of Comet Kohutek meets Covid 2020.

Just past the maximum partial eclipse in southern AZ. I’ll continue dancing and chanting to see if the sky demons will restore the sun.

98.8% right here in my backyard. Close enough for me. Beats the hell out of joining the herd. I-40 east bound looked like big city traffic this morning. Just freakin’ nuts.

Meh. We have cloud cover in the Albuquirky metro area. Still saw it through the clouds. Not as nice as it would be without them. But still saw it.
