Things continue to feel like a calm before the approaching storm. There is not too much overt activity in the battle space, but various rumblings of a large looming escalation continue to trickle through the grape vine.
In a recent article I had mentioned how the Western press and elite commentariat for the first time began using the taboo ‘C’ word, i.e. “Collapse”, for Ukraine. Now this has opened up the floodgates, causing more and more worried publications to begin turning off their previous holding-the-line narrative filter and actually start describing the Ukrainian situation with truthful urgency.

Read my lips, it’s quite simple: Ukraine has literally no chance whatsoever to do anything militarily in this war anymore. Ukraine and Zelensky’s only shot at survival is to push Russia into a confrontation with NATO. They are desperately attempting to do this each day by launching mass terror attacks all over Russia.
Something that the criminally inept Biden regime Secretary of State Antony Blinken seems very willing to facilitate.

The Ukraine never stood a chance against Russia. Many on the FR called it 2 years ago and anyone with a brain knew it in the various governments. But, no. The agony and pointlessness had to be carried out.

With only one quarter the population of Russia, it is only a matter of time until Ukraine loses this war of attrition, regardless of how many weapons the West sends Kiev.
Here he's done a good job of explaining what has seemed very puzzling to me (as I've posted about else-where on Free Republic) Why would Zelensky risk the backlash of using grotesque terrorist tactics, like the recent concert shooting massacre. I couldn't figure it out, but he has presented a theory with supporting evidence that it's a ploy by Zelensky to force and over-reaction by Russia, which then forces the USA to step up and go all-in with the war.
In other words: Zelensky is trying to goad the USA into direct war with Russia, which would be WW3 by definition. Using terrorism.
Zelensky is desperate because he's got nothing left (running out of people, weapons, and ammunition) to carry on the fight with Russia. He desperately needs this to turn into a USA vs. Russia or at least NATO vs. Russia was.
Let that sink in: those arguing for more money for Zelensky are essentially arguing that we should bankroll a group that is using terrorism on an escalation basis to try to ignite and even bigger war. That's truly Strangeloveian behavior.
Americans should not be bankrolling terrorists. That's not asking too much.

When does this circus end?
We are now in April, nearly the start of the fighting season. We need to hold on for a few more months with no $$$ going to Ukraine.
It is and always has been a war of Attrition.
Ruzzia has more warm bodies than YouCrayne.
Why Biden would allow for Ukrainians to enter the Russia meat grinder all for the sake of his proxy war is beyond me.
He’s in the midst of creating an imbroglio of epic proportions - and then skips off to some island retreat.
Regardless of political views - there are some very harsh realities to think about and to speak on:
1 - Biden set this up. He, via both weakness and prodding, brought the Putin/Russian war on. He then set Zelensky up with promises that ultimately, Biden couldn’t keep. Many are blaming the Republicans in CONgress for holding up promised aid... but the reality is - Biden simply writes checks with his mouth and policies that he simply doesn’t have the authority or resources to fulfill. He used his CIC power to hadn’t over lots of our munitions (we are critically low and not in a position to fight any war if we had to).
2- The promises encouraged Ukraine/Zelenskyy to fight to this point - all with inadequate numbers of soldiers and the false promises/set up above.
3 - the conscription law in Ukraine (aka draft) was only just adjusted down to a minimum age of 25. While I am no fan of sending 18 year olds off to die - when your conscription pool starts at 27 or 28 years old - you are past fighting prime...
4 - Even if Ukraine lowered the age farther - and ramped up drafting - Ukraine doesn’t have the weapons and ammunition to equip them. Not by a long shot.
And all of this, while Russia hammers Ukrainian energy production and repeatedly intentionally targets civilians (but not so much military targets).
Do you fine people accept this kine from the article, “launching mass terror attacks all over Russia”?
That is a bald face lie.
The same one that engineered the Afghanistan withdrawal;
- one who has had CHUNKS of his pea-sized brain removed due to aneuysms and who is afflicted with senility.
Zelensky needs to get his azz to the negotiating table and cut a deal before Putin motors into Kiyiv and hangs him in the square.
Mr. Zelensky will do anything to get a war between US/NATO and Russia. Only in this way can he win. He really has no choice. The Deep State forces that really rule America want this too. They have no choice. Only a war will unite the USA and stop MAGA Movement. Their thinking is based on several assumptions:
A) It will be non-Nuke (good bet. Was Gas wasn’t used in WW II? save for the mass death of Jews and others in Nazi Germany).
B) It will be an easy Victory for USA/NATO (Not a good bet, they have seen too many WW II movies).
C) It will be short, localized to Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic’s (Not a good bet as well, it will move to the Middle East fast—and maybe Asia).
D) The UN can stop it after the elections, Kiev is saved. the Donbass is re-taken. ( Also not a sure bet ). The UN may well go the way of the league of Nations, same with NATO.
E) China will stay out along with much of the “Free World.” (This too is a big assumption—Many states have a bone to pick with the west and will support Russia).
F) The So Called Axis of Evil will shatter and make Russia and easy victim to invade, and occupy. (Not a sure bet as well. Each day draws Russia, Iran, China and North Korea together.)
Lastly, war has a nasty habit of taking on a life of its own and can spin out of control. Its not a Good Guy vs Bad Guy thing. What will India do? What will Japan? South Africa? Turkey may well not fight for the west? We could lose this one. Will America like occupation? Dismemberment? Our leaders in the dock as “War Criminals?” If The Axis wins, say goodbye to Alaska and Hawaii, Samoa and Guam.
