There is a 20 percent VAT tax on almost everything that ordinary people buy.

Well it wouldn’t be the first time a young Canadian let out a long bleat about how bad things are, then when you ask them, “so you’re voting for the Peoples’ Party and we’ll get things done about all of that,” the response is usually “oh I’m progressive, I will be looking at the policies of the Liberals and the NDP, maybe the Greens.” And then they will give you an earful about what a dreadful fascist you must be for wanting to cut back government spending, taxes and immigration. Or if they are really hurting, they might say, “I’m considering voting Conservative,” which is sort of like expecting Romney and Graham to end globalism.
So you get what you deserve if that’s how you think and vote. I do think Trudeau has run out of tricks but just as many young voters will abandon him for the even worse leftist parties, falsely concluding that their problems are due to Trudeau not being progressive enough. There are a few sensible people around, but if you think you’re isolated down there ... give thanks you are not up here.
