At halftime of Thursday’s Dallas-Washington football game, Dolly Parton made a pitch for the Salvation Army but didn’t show up just to ring the kettle bell. In a flash, Dolly appeared all tricked out as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, and as the crowd confirmed, the minimalist style suited the 77-year-old quite well. Parton first busted out “Jolene,” but she hadn’t forgot the working folks.
As Dolly lit into “Nine to Five,” the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders pranced onto the field showcasing the athletic moves that had made them famous. Bob Fosse, call your office. Busby Berkeley, phone home. And as Popeye might say, “what did I do with my spinach?” The cheering crowd joined in on “We Are the Champions,” followed by “We Will Rock You.” Viewers could easily get the feeling that this was about more than a football game.

Back around 1982 an Aunt and Uncle had season NFL tickets and gave me theirs for two games.
The halftime consisted of a university marching band. The cheerleaders were four different high school girls cheerleading teams that rotated around the stadium every Quarter so everybody got to see their performances.
It was very nice that way.

Damn hot, streaming hot, my brother ended up with her and she was the hottest sister-in-law ever...

Steve Kelley’s cartoon today has a woman dressed in an outfit like Dolly’s and saying to her husband (who is lying in bed) that she is 77, the same age as Dolly Parton. The cartoon is a bit mystifying unless you know about Dolly Parton’s appearance at the Dallas game on Thursday...and not all that clear even if you do.
So….an observation on modesty is your definition of jealousy…..uh huh

I thought the Cowboys were honoring one of their former cheerleaders from the last time they won a Super Bowl.
Thing about Dolly which is mind boggling,
She put out an absolutely insane amount of music… in her first 10
Years she put out 17 studio albums.
She has slowed down since the 90s but, it’s just crazy how many albumns she put out so quickly back to back in her first 20 or so years
Total she has released 49 albums since 1967.
She’s not as “firm” as she looks. She was at the UT football game and you could definitely see the edge of the rubber enhancement on her neck.
