Earlier today the US House of Representatives passed a last-minute spending bill to keep the government funded for an additional 45 days, narrowly averting a government shutdown that would have commenced at 12:01 a.m. The bill, spearheaded by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), now heads to the Senate, where it is expected to pass.
With a 335-91 vote, the House approved a 45-day temporary funding measure that excludes border security and $6 billion in funding for Ukraine.
The bill includes provisions for disaster relief funds that likely swayed some Democrats to vote in favor.
Shortly after today’s vote news broke that Kevin McCarthy pulled a fast one and made a side deal with GOP Minority leader Mitch McConnell and Joe Biden to fund Ukraine.

I learned my lesson after we have them the Senate back in 2014.
That vote comes to the floor only if it gets a House GOP majority. If not, nope.
All of a sudden, Ukraine funding has elevated to the primary significance.
I don’t think it can get a GOP majority.
The uniparty is a reality.
Voting Republican would stop all of this, if:
the right Republican ran.
the people/voters actually paid attention to who they’re voting for, what that person has been doing all these years and giving someone else a f**king chance to prove themselves, instead of sending the same tired, corrupt hacks back again and again and again.
For example....if there is anyone on this site that lives in South Dakota..can they articulate one thing that Thune has done that has been beneficial to their state and country? And getting some pork for a new park or something like that doesn’t count.

The US system is totally corrupt. Elected “reps” are on the take and accumulate personal wealth by bankrupting the citizenry.
