If that were true, Chase wouldnt be building brand new bank branches (4 I know of) in my area. They havent been in this market before, and we have WellsFargo, Regions, PNC, and a bunch of regional banks, all of which would make no sense if walk ups and full service were going away.

You can’t eat gold.

The precious metals I think will have the most value will be brass and lead.

along with the appropriate delivery system.

Conspiracy theories are that without Congress changing the lawas on U.S. currency Biden and the Fed are about to announce immediate moves to all digital currency. They cannot do it without Congress and the votes for it will not be there.

Why do you think they don’t flock to BRICS currencies presently?

They have worse capital controls in place than the U.S.

SHANGHAI, March 5 (Reuters) - Billionaire investor Mark Mobius told FOX Business he cannot take his money out of China due to the country's capital controls, cautioning investors to be "very, very careful" about investing in an economy under a tight government grip.

"I have an account with HSBC in Shanghai. I can't take my money out. The government is restricting flow of money out of the country," Mobius, founder of Mobius Capital Partners, told FOX Business in an interview published on March 2.

"I can't get an explanation of why they're doing this ... They're putting all kinds of barriers. They don't say: No, you can't get your money out. But they say: give us all the records from 20 years of how you made this money ... This is crazy."

In Ellie Wiesel’s book NIGHT, I was struck by all the warnings his Hungarian Jewish community had regarding Nazi operations. Yet, most just buried their gold in their cellars and submitted, first to moving within the allotted ghetto blocks, and finally boarding the trains. His family had an offer to take to the hills but his father felt that as a community leader he should stay with his people rather than pass himself off as a gentile goat herder up in the sticks.

If those Jews of Sighet organized a resistance, even with a limited number of single shot 22 rifles and a few shotguns. They probably could have overcome the limited numbers of troops and police who rounded them up. Living deep in the thickets up in the hills would have been a very tough existence but much better than Auschwitz. You are right that lead can be a very precious metal.

I’ll never understand people’s willingness to appease the perps. It NEVER works.

He could have led the whole community up there and most would likely have survived.

Chase is part of the NWO and WEF, so they know what’s coming.

“Why do you think they don’t flock to BRICS currencies presently?”

BRICS doesn’t have a currency yet. So they’re now using other-than-dollar national currencies.

“Billionaire investor Mark Mobius told FOX Business he cannot take his money out of China due to the country’s capital controls”

Now he knows how innocent Russians feel. And considering that all a country has to do is not fly the gay pride flag to get the same treatment from the US. And THEY ARE SICK OF IT.

“BRICS doesn’t have a currency yet.”

They each have a currency, and they put tight controls on it and each of them inflate it.
The idea they’re going ‘Voltron’ together and create an honest currency with actual redeemability is laughably naive. They’d never allow that kind of freedom, for their own citizens or foreigners.
They’ll announce a ‘gold backed’ currency, and won’t allow redeemability. It’ll operate on the same faith(lessness) as all the other government backed fiat currencies out there. It’s not good people putting together this scheme.

Introducing an actual gold backed currency would be very simple, and could be done tomorrow by announcing the value peg and declaring the audited reserves of gold that back it.

They’re cooking up something different, and it ain’t for your benefit.

I realize the need to keep the country focused on Ukraine, and TOTALLY IGNORE all the damage that our Ukraine policy is causing.

You can’t eat gold.

It’s like you don’t realize the point of money. You want try to carry 5 oz of gold in your pocket, or $10,000 worth of ammo?

CBDCs aren’t going to usher in Mad Max and Beyond Thunderdome, it’s just going make fleecing the productive easier, as well as making directed handouts automatic.

Unless you hold money outside of any they can inflate you’re not going to be protected from the scheme. Owning bullets won’t change that.

Agreed. “Brass and lead” will be a good medium of exchange in more ways than one.

I just hope I’m not around to see it.

We’ll find out. I suspect that the 85% of the world that are not US puppet governments will flock to the BRICS currency, gold-backed or not, as the REAL BENEFIT of that currency is that the Neocons can no longer use the banking system to punish those governments.

So, did the BRICS announce a new gold backed currency, or any new currency?

Another problem with creating a BRICS currency is that, logically, neither China nor Russia has the slightest intention of losing their national currency to dilute it alongside a group of issuers who have a doubtful track record in controlling their monetary imbalances. Over the past ten years, the currencies of the BRICS guest countries have depreciated significantly against the U.S. dollar. The Argentine peso has fallen by 98%, the Egyptian pound by 78%, the Indian rupee by 35%, the Ethiopian birr by 68%, the Brazilian real by 55%, according to Bloomberg, and the Iranian rial has collapsed by 90%, according to The Economist. Putting together weak currencies does not create a strong currency.

We must not forget that the performance of the Russian ruble (-68% against the U.S. dollar, according to Bloomberg) in the last decade has also been poor despite having a relatively prudent central bank.

The best “BRICS and guests” currency against the U.S. dollar in the last 10 years is the Chinese yuan, with a depreciation of only 14%.

“So, did the BRICS announce a new gold backed currency, or any new currency?”

Sounds like they’ve agreed to set up a way to bypass the US Dollar, which is ALL that they need to do.

BRICS trading with each other in their own craptastic fiat currencies doesn't do anything to address the discoordination their policies of inflation in national currencies wreaks on their respective economies.

I don't think anyone should hold their breath to see these nations collectively introduce a gold backed currency that is freely traded.

These countries are run by a kleptocracy more rapacious than our own, as evidenced by how much worse their currencies have fared vis-a-vis the US dollar over the last decade.
