People growing up in the city of Chicago have about a one in fifteen chance of being shot by the time they turn 40, results of a new survey suggest.
Last weekend, at least 26 people in Chicago were shot, eight fatally, including three who were wounded while standing on a sidewalk and caught in the crossfire between two vehicles. That’s up from the 20 citizens who were shot, and the four killed by gunfire, the previous weekend.
A new study finds that 6.46% (1 in 15) of Chicagoans had been shot by their 40th birthday. What’s more, half (50.0%) had witnessed a shooting by that age.
According to the results of the study of more than twenty-four hundred Chicagoans, published last Tuesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), blacks and hispanics are much more likely than are whites to be shot by the time they turn 40. […]
“Most reports of being shot for female respondents occurred during their midteenaged years, whereas males reported being shot throughout their teenaged years and their 20s and 30s,” the study notes. …

One typically recognizes the risks of playing in traffic and move out of the way.

They can’t shoot worth chit. The kill ratio is entirely unacceptable.
There was a recent study that said a black man in New Orleans had a one in twelve chance of being murdered, over a lifetime.
So one in 15 chance of a Chicagoan being shot...some people are doing most of the heavy lifting.
They can’t ... they abort all their babies.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Half the population has witnessed a shooting? That’s a lot of witnesses. Did they contact the police and provide a description?
The gang shooters are poor shots as the kill rate is pretty low something like 15% of those shot die. The solution to the Chicago problem would be to arm everyone and give them training on how to kill their targets. When the rest of the population offs the gangbangers (and their enablers in City Hall), Chicago will return to being a civilized city...well, at least as civilized as when Alphonse Capone ran the Chicago mafia.

Chicago is a democrat-run city and has been for decades. Most of their city leaders are actually blacks and that has been true for some years.
Blacks are killing blacks on a daily basis with the numbers increasing on the weekends. The numbers will only go higher as summer arrives.
It’s obviously white supremacy that’s at fault.
