Joe Biden spoke on Monday, and as is often the case, he really shouldn’t have.
The President of the United States took the podium just hours after a school shooting took place in Nashville. While there, he delivered scintillating remarks on what kind of ice cream he eats, and that was the most coherent part of his remarks.
The “Weekend at Bernie’s” presidency continues apace.
Does he know how to read a room, or does he know how to read a room? Biden is a real man of the people, showing his empathy for the victims of a heinous crime by riffing for the umpteenth time on his love of chocolate chip ice cream and laughing about it. Clearly, this man is mentally fit for the presidency and understands the moment.
Conversely, he’s completely senile, and as his speech drug on, that became painfully clear. Seriously, this is the only guy in the world who can make ice cream sound creepy. That he doesn’t know what office he holds is also somewhat concerning.

I watched it live yesterday, it shocked even me. I was expecting a screed on gun control, of course, but opening up talking about his favorite ice cream, was totally unexpected.

We watched his speech in Canada at the Parliament and couldn’t believe it. It was around 45 minutes and no errors or confusion. the only thing we could come away with was that it must have been a ‘double’. He couldn’t possibly have delivered it.Then as you say. he stumbles over a speech the first 25 words. Lord help this nation!

We need a comprehensive Plan of Action developed in every school, with at least 5, well trained, armed teachers strategically located around the school at all times that school is in session. Each teacher should be a volunteer and trained in weapons, as well as deescalation strategy against armed aggressors. Each school should be certified to be prepared for taking down a shooter, and be tested every six months. Hand wringing and trying to de-arm all of the defensive weapons from citizens is not the way, Brandon.
