CONTEXT – After months of promoting Ron DeSantis to become the 2024 GOP nominee, which includes the efforts of Rupert Murdoch (and family) via a multimillion-dollar Harper Collins book deal for the Florida governor; lengthy friendly interviews with DeSantis on every program; a full feature infomercial running on Fox News to present him to the national audience; attendance by key program pundits at DeSantis donor events and campaign organization meetings; weeks of specific messaging coordinated with board member Paul Ryan – and the consulting efforts of Karl Rove with the DeSantis operation; they are just not able to move the needle.
With the DeSantis book launch officially taking place today, Fox News Corp sends Brian Kilmeade to Florida to assist the DeSantis operation. Producers used the entire Fox and Friends morning programming to support the intent and Ron DeSantis’s ‘big day’. [See Long Video Here] However, when Brian Kilmeade broadcasts live from the Metro Diner in Ponte Vedra beach to promote the DeSantis narrative, the diners at the venue did not go along with the anticipated narrative. {Direct Rumble Link}
What follows in the live broadcast becomes a hilarious exhibition in how media-driven astroturf propaganda runs directly into the reality of the situation. It really is quite funny to see the escalating desperation of Mr. Kilmeade as he asks whether the audience supports Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis for the 2024 GOP nomination and cannot find anyone who puts DeSantis first – even the lady wearing the DeSantis T-shirt supports Trump first. WATCH:
But wait, it gets better….. Even more funny.
Corporate Fox News is not going to give up, they had this whole production scripted. Karl Rove who is a key consultant in the managing and branding effort, is left retreating to the narrative that DeSantis doesn’t need to do anything yet. {Direct Rumble Link} Watch below:
.
Rove is facing a big challenge. The Atwater-Rove days of gaslighting, manipulating and ultimately controlling the republican illusion of choice are in the rear-view mirror. The traditional mechanisms have collapsed and are no longer useful as the electorate have become more aware, and simultaneously the grassroots communication platforms have evolved.
Even extremely expensive political Astroturf is much harder now. People can just see through the issues and the fallacies are debunked in almost real time.
Rupert Murdoch has a sad.
Paul Ryan has a sad.
Karl Rove has a sad,….
Another paid add....
I don’t know about DeSantis, but if I see yet another Nikki Haley appearance on FNC I’ll probably barf. And other than Tucker and Gutfeld (and, to a lesser extent, ‘The Five’) I don’t watch much Fox anymore.
The Faux News scumbags just can’t accept that we in Florida love DeSantis but DO NOT WANT HIM TO TRY TO DAMSAGE TRUMP.
I’m so glad I’m Faux News free for so long I don’t recognize many of their clowns in video clips.
FAUX NEWS IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Newsmax is barely tolerable and that leaves One America News - the best in show.
The Uniparty needs to split Conservative Republicans.
That’s why Jeb! is involved too.

Stay out da Bushes - they’re always working for sister Hillary
DeSantis is doing an excellent job as Florida’s governor

What? Does he want to lose? I’m not against DeSantis and I get it if he wants to build his profile for 2028. Some real competition for Trump could be a good thing. So far there’s none of that with currently declared candidates.
Sundunce playing Trump pop-pom boy again.
Does anyone watch Fox News anymore?
I don’t and I don’t watch Newsmax either.
Sometimes I go to websites to link to their news stories like I would mainstream media outlets in general.
So much Fakeservative Astroturf to promote RINO’s and RINO talking points.
I need fresh air and fresh thinking I even try to do some of my own.
We don’t want him to run for president….maybe 2028……
Yep we voted for him to spend his time as governor. If he turns his back on us by running for president that doesn’t reflect well to his character. It shows he can be lured away….
elon musk for president 2024...
our turn to install an ineligible african-american in the white hospice...
Karl Rover (Turd Blossom) and Paul “Eddie Munster” Ryan are poison pills for any would-be candidate. Add in the GOPe and the Bush Wing, Mitten’s Little Niece, and you can kiss goodbye any support from clear-thinking, grass-roots conservatives. Been there, done that, we lost and lost bigly.
I don’t want DeSantis.
In general we need outsiders for public office not folks with corporate money coming out their wazoos.
And a DeSantis run in 2024 will tear your state apart like Cruz vs. Trump in 2016.
DeSantis is VP material for Trump.
After Trump’s second term, DeSantis should cruise to his first term as president.
That would make 12 years for republicans in the white house. Democrats would have self-destructed during those 12 years.
You know Trump didn’t pay for his own campaign, don’t you? He claims to own $8 billion (or at least did before the election), and yet he relied on just as many nasties as anyone else. 94% of the money he spent was raised “the old fashioned way.”
Trump has a message that’s different from the other candidates and even a track record of making waves no other politician ever has.
I’m not saying Trump walks on water but I see better in him than others.
What do you know about Florida?
There’s a question about electoral vote count when the president and the vp are from the same state. Until there’s clarity about that Florida’s electoral votes might be at risk with a Trump/DeSantis ticket,
