11 Funny Photos of Cats Acting Like They've Just Seen A Ghost
The Pet Zealot ^ | February 02, 2023 | James Alain L.

As pet owners, it is common for us to be curious about whether our furry friends can see ghosts. One of the many myths about cats is that they can see ghosts or spirits. This is due to the way they act sometimes. For example, your cat may suddenly start hissing at nothing or stop playing to stare at nothing. However, when you look around, you see nothing that explains your feline's sudden behavior. As a result, you just assume the animal has seen a spirit.

#3 is awesome. I love it when cats do “Scary Cat.” Our oldest, and biggest, Maine Coon does it to us when he’s playing with us.

There was a Richard Dreyfuss movie about a dead pilot who watches over his widow, unseen by all except for the family cat which sees and reacts to the ghost.

We’re dog people and never liked cats. ~ Two years ago we found a perfect, tiny Calico kitten living under the seat of my tractor. There are no houses around us so we figure somebody dumped it off.

I have to say “Calico Charlie” has got it made...she’s a lot of fun to have around and we love the heck out of the damn thing.

Anybody who likes cats has got to read (a few times) the short poem “The Naming of Cats” by T.S Eliot.

https://poets.org/poem/naming-cats

“The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isnā€™t just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first Iā€™m as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES....”

Well, cats do have good night vision, and can see what we humans can’t see (day or night), including ghosts.

She really does that too. She is a long white haired cat who is rather large in size as well. She looks more like the ghost to be honest, and she even does it when I surprise her accidently walking into a room she is in. šŸ¤£ is my reaction I might add.

Ours aren’t huge, either, but still dwarf normal cats. The older brother weighs around 17-18 pounds, and the younger one weighs about 14-15 pounds. When the big one lays down, and does his “Superman” pose with arms and tail straight out, he measures almost 48 inches long.

Everyone that meets them comments that they’re the biggest cats they’ve ever seen.

It’s a forgettable movie. In fact, the cat scene is pretty much all I remember about it.
