Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway of the pro-Trump duo “Diamond and Silk” unexpectedly passed away earlier this month at her North Carolina home at the age of 51. Far too soon.
Few would argue Hardaway’s status as one of former President Donald Trump’s biggest fans, and as her sister Rochelle “Silk” Richardson revealed during a celebration of life ceremony for Diamond on Saturday, the love between Hardaway and Trump was nothing less than reciprocal.
Not only did Trump heavily promote the ceremony for his friend on his Truth Social platform, but Richardson also took a moment during the ceremony to praise Trump for picking up the cost of the celebration of life ceremony and whatever funeral arrangements Richardson thought would be best for her dear sister.
“Silk talks about how DJT told her to have whatever she wants for Diamonds funeral and he would cover the costs. I love this man,” one Twitter user wrote.

“I got to tell this,” Richardson said. “And I pray and hope that it is OK with President Trump because, he does things and it don’t get out in public, and now that I have the world’s attention, I have to say this.”
“When I told him that Diamond had passed, he said, ‘ohhh,’ he was heartbroken. He said, ‘OK, we’re going to have a nice gathering for her, a nice funeral,’ and I said oh no we don’t have a body. We followed her wishes and we cremated her. He said ‘OK, I want you to do whatever you want, I want you to have the best of whatever

Pointing at Trump, seated to her left on the stage, Richardson said, “That’s what this man did for my sister! He didn’t waver. He didn’t think about it.”
Many social media users agreed, with one Twitter user writing, “That’s a good man. I don’t care what people say about Trump. His decency is never reported and his bad behavior is always exaggerated.”
While this is a very generous thing for Trump to do, it is not what a President is “supposed” to do.

Well, in her defense I think you can say that they are (were) all friends, and that he is indeed doing this out of love and friendship.
The President part is her projecting that she wishes we had a man in office now who would do the same thing for such a good friend.
May she rest in peace.
It was not at all necessary for Trump to do that, just an act of human kindness.

I am overwhelmingly relieved to see so many people already weighing in on this in a sensible way.
Nobody is obligated to engage in charity and the president is certainly not “supposed” to do this. Sounds like just another gimmedat artist. Maybe she got a little carried away. Never thought they were the brightest bulbs in the box.

He tried that reach across the aisle like no other. Had the traitors in DC merely given him he least support any President is given, God only knows what he could have accomplished.

Grow up. She was speaking off the cuff at her sisters funeral. She was choking up as she said it. If she lost you that easy, you were never there anyway.

Agree. He was cheated out of office and the only way to fix that is to restore his stolen office.... not for us to move on and do better in the future.

Silk was the one who just nodded her head and said “Uh huh” and “Yeah baby” as her sister was speaking. Clearly NOT the more intelligent of the two- but entertains and sweet.
No, this is NOT what a President is “supposed to” do, but what a gracious gentleman of means does.
