I’m always surprised that there are in-person booths. Deploying manpower to shopping centers, parks, downtown areas and town centers is more expensive than plopping a body down behind a computer, but it seems you would get far better results. Of course, polling workers might be scared to do field duty these days.
My daughter ran marketing programs for a huge ski resort and they conducted polls of customers right out on the ski slopes. Now that was a plum job!

How can polls be accurate? What rational, decent person would take an unsolicited call from a stranger and then go on to discuss their political beliefs and preferences? They know they would then be on a data base that could affect their employment, employability, finances and relations with law enforcement. Therefore polls seriously undercount Republican voters and are skewed far to the left.

If there is an actual tsunami-red wave, the Republicans will end up with at least 60 senators and the House majority will be historical. I really can’t see how it will turn out differently. It will be the usual break down of thirds with the independents going strongly for Republicans.

No truer statement. Americans have shown many times they can do a late about-face at election time. Remember, half this country likes the status quo.
