Careful, you sound like me.

I offered the same challenge on this thread yesterday and never got a reply. Same as other similar challenges.

Chokwe Antar Lumumba, Democratic mayor of Jackson, Mississippi

And therein lies the problem.

Marxism fails where ever and whenever it's implemented.

Of course it fails to help the people, but it makes the marxists in charge fabulously wealthy and that's exactly what they really wanted to accomplish anyway. Remember the words Marxist and liar are interchangeable when speaking about Marxists. I'd love to see this black mayors bank statement.

Black democrat politicians are nothing but thieves trying to destroy our country and our way of life.

Way to go, Mr. Mayor; that’s staying right on top of things. Who is dumber, the Mayor or the people who voted him into office???????????? Suckers!

He, Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, campaigned on plans to introduce universal basic income and alternatives to policing, to replace vacant lots with urban farms and to resolve chronic issues with the city’s water and roads in order to break the “cycles of humiliation” he said black residents experience in Jackson, the most heavily black large city in the U.S.

So very reminiscent of that ever popular Communist fraud, the FIVE YEAR PLAN and its relatives! The government publishes this glorious, full color, pie-in-the-sky plan. First year there is great publicity about all of the work being made towards its goal, individuals are awarded as 'Heroes of Labor' as are factories and bureaus.

Subsequent years the publicity is less as it becomes ever more obvious that the pie has turned rancid! Then in the 4th or 5th year, you know what the gift is for the people? You guessed it, a brand spanking NEW FIVE YEAR PLAN, often with the same promises! That previous one? Oh, sorry, that paperwork got lost and the posters have been covered over by the new posters.

Rinse and repeat, ad infinitum!

Maybe, instead of voting for the politicians who profess to “care” and who promise to create utopia, citizens should inform themselves about requirements for the job and assess whether the candidate’s skills qualify them for that job.

Yeah, I know, it’s a radical idea.

I guess he thinks clean drinking water just happens.

And the RATS always say it's Republicans who don't care about clean drinking water.

Parents were “activists” and adopted the African name. His grandparents were named Talliaferro.

Even so I am an optimist by nature I have some serious doubt as I have a feeling the US is heading down the same path as Argentina where poor politics, corruption and graft has gotten the best of them and this cycle is not easily broken, as it is part of a mind set which took years to develop. The chains of habit are too weak to be felt until they become too strong to be broken!

For curiosity sake the current rate of inflation in Argentina is around 70 % and shows no sign of abating words they have not gotten their act together yet and neither has the US.

Even if we elect a president who may have the right ideas for attempting to get this country back onto the right track it only may slow the descent on to the trash heap of history of a once great country. So far there has been no known great country in history which has escaped this cycle

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. Seems he was good at talking but not so good at running things. I hope the people love his fancy talk—He’s going to show it to “The Man” except—Now he is The Man!

Apparently “radical” means no water.

Just like “vegan” means can’t hunt.

Amazing, but if I had to relocate to Jackson for a job, I’ll move to Memphis, since it isn’t this bad yet..

“Do you think the black voters of Jackson will remember that come election time?”

What Jackson voters need to ponder is why didn’t their city keep its water purification and distribution system in decent shape. The components have a finite lifetime that needs to be planned for. No excuse for the city to ignore the necessary maintenance. Maybe down deep the leaders knew they could let the system crash and then the Federal Government would step in and pay to fix it.
