Ukraine conflict: how China could follow Russia’s playbook to increase its own powers
The Conservation ^ | 7/13/22 | Robert M. Dover

Amid the restructuring of the global order that has been accelerated by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the evolving position of China had been lost in the fog of war. The heads of the UK’s security service (MI5) and US Federal Bureau of Investigation sought to disperse this fog with a rare joint press conference warning of the “immense threat” from China.

For China, the invasion of Ukraine has provided substantial intelligence about how the west would respond militarily, economically and politically to a Chinese invasion of Taiwan: they know that the western response will entail a large package of sanctions, cyber operations against key infrastructure and assets and direct military support, aligned with efforts to ostracise any invaders internationally. Chinese mitigation can now be built into those military plans.

The real winners of the invasion of Ukraine are not likely to be Russian, even if it’s their flag that is raised in the Donbas and elsewhere. It will be the Chinese government who has stood back and seen its rivals spending considerable economic and military fortunes on a small and nasty war in Ukraine, while it has accelerated its own influencing operations in the west. This is what has spooked the intelligence heads, and that is why they are calling for the world to pay attention.

I do not know about MI5, but The Federal Bureau is investigation (STASI) is now only for investigating,
arresting and punishing any domestic opposition to The Party

The paramount objective of the Chinese military system has to be to ensure that China is never militarily dominated and economically exploited as they were by the British in the 19th century and never again experience the death and destruction of the Japanese invasion in the 20th century.

So they probably need armed forces larger than the next few countries combined and able to fight two wars simultaneously.

There is nothing more mendacious than one-track neocons than cannot see that China is the main threat. All they can think about is Russia because they are indoctrinated and mentally deficient.

Comrade Xi has learned much over the last five months:

1) In this new technological era Russia’s conventional military, once thought to be a juggernaut, has been unable to successively invade a weaker adjacent country overland. Xi now realizes that his army of combat inexperienced one child soldiers and his locally produced untested ships, planes and equipment just might face a debacle if they try to invade a resisting Taiwan across 90 miles of open ocean. The consequences of failure for Xi, his family and sycophants would be extremely unpleasant.

2) The Chinese now realize that Russia cannot conventionally defend Siberia and its rich underpopulated Far Eastern/Pacific Asian territories. China has always coveted those lands.

Amur River is where the next war will begin, not Taiwan.

Easy pickings, good for bloodying untested troops and new equipment - we’ll see how good the new Chinese MBT T-99A really is:

The dopey Russians have left their Far East effectively undefended with many units stripped of 90% to 100% of their combat capability.

5th Army HQ in Ussuiysk is all but abandoned.

I’m sure China knows this and they inevitably see Siberia as a bigger treasure than Taiwan.

They have been cheering anything that is bad for the US all along, forgetting that Biden and the globohomo agenda is temporary.

Our news trumpets the gender bending losers because they believe in that bullshit - it’s who they are. The rest of America (80%+) say America is on the wrong track. November will crush the leftists - even with their fraud machine.

But the cadre of anti Americans here at FR will breathlessly post articles from obscure blogs to pretend their POV is correct.

China will “invade” Taiwan the moment it feels threatened by the US for using it as a launching pad for US weapons, aimed at them.

Exactly like happened to Ukraine.

Assuming that Mad Ivan is not going to use nukes to protect those lands.

Parroting PLA/CCP propaganda sides with those of us paying taxes how? You never post anything pro-US, always cheering for our demise. Take the issue of reserve currency status as an example - you and your ilk post about the demise of the dollar repeatedly, while cheering BRICS.

Yes, we’ve wasted countless billions in Ukraine to keep Biden’s malfeasance hidden - it’s what our homegrown and super corrupt communists do.

But they’ve dropped their masks for all of the public to see, and they’re disgusted - maybe not to the extent we are in here - but their disgust will translate to votes. The left will be decimated in November.

Both the Virtue Signalling Elite "Journalist/Academics" Intelligentsia at "The Conversation", and the MI5/FIB (intentional) Spooks haven't figured out that the battle is already over and the Pop Culture US Government, Military and Technology has lost.

They should have thought of this consequence just before Nixon "opened" Communist China.

Opening up to China was Nixon’s greatest mistake.

But he was steered there by Kissinger, who essentially founded the WEF. Klaus Schwab was his trainee. The WEF is a far greater enemy to humanity than anything ever seen.

I don’t understand why members of the WEF are allowed to feel safe among us. They deserve to be hunted to extinction.

The greatest thing that can happen to this world would be twofold: China becomes free, and overthrows the CCP. Secondly, the WEF is destroyed. Only then will this planet see its potential.

What you said, or if the US attempts to blockade China from world trade by cutting them off at the first island chain.

I’m not a neocon, douche. I’m a combat veteran who understands our nation’s enemies from the pointy part of the spear, not from a keyboard.

The last thing I want to see is war. Been there, lost friends and almost my blood brother there to an IED.

But to be here and find anti Americans posing as “conservatives” makes me want to puke. Kinda like my predecessors who came back from ‘Nam getting spit on by liberals. You’re cheering the same communists the left was 50 years ago, except you pretend to be patriotic.

Pretend.

America first - let’s get rid of the Democrats and their assistants who say they’re GOP and get things fixed. Stop cheering the enemy, or you’re one of them.

Don’t like that view? Zero f_cks given.
