Where my son formerly lived in Rye, NH on the seacoast wild rabbits were everywhere. They were also very tame. I had one hop about 6’ in front of me one morning while is was sitting in a chair.

This is a wealthy suburban area where there is no hunting, probably no coyotes, bobcats or other predators to keep them in check. Many people had resorted to fencing in their flower gardens to keep the bunnies from eating them.

I read the ‘900 Days’...it was grim!!

The vast majority of people preparing for a SHTF scenario have utterly no clue what conditions are like in such situation and how mentally unprepared they are.

In general, for civilian survivors of WW-II in contested areas of Eastern Europe, one didn't want to know about the sort of things they had to do to survive.

A rarity that I haven’t seen in my 20 years in the subdivision where I live - I see wild rabbits (several times a week now) out in the lawns of some houses in the evenings just grazing and hanging out while the neighborhood cats and dogs are away.

I'm planting a grass and clover lawn.

For the bunnies.

For dinner.

What’s odd about where I live is that there are STILL yotes, cats and dogs unleashed in the subdivision at various times of the day and night. I think they’ve just figured out a time when those kinds of predators aren’t out and about. It’s really weird..

I had one hop across, stop 2' in front of me, and eyeball me.

I gently said 'Hi bunny.' and he casually continued on his path.

We have coyotes and hawks here...

Yeah. Pork sausage patties showed up in Stalingrad, without deliveries of hogs to the city.

Thanks for the Three Stooges bite! Hyperinflation breeds hyperbole. I read a book about Stalingrad translated from a Russian colonel who participated. It’s like comparing apples and orangutans.

I am about 60 miles inland from the ocean in southern NH. We have coyotes, bobcats, bears, hawks, bald eagles, owls, dogs and MAYBE the occasional mountain lion wondering through.
Although, I did see a cottontail rabbit on the way to work this am. They are pretty rare around here.

Americans have become a lot of fat, lazy cattle. If their stupid cell phone goes down, they hyperventilate!

So, the Wehrmacht is going to surround the USA?

Hyperbole much?

This is about as bad as AOC telling us the world will end in 8+ years.

“And to say we are going to be in “900 days” is a bunch of fear mongering.”

*****

Crime is going to be out of control. Law enforcement will be guarding “critical” facilities. Regular people out and about and at home will be on their own.

They weren’t “tame.” They had just lost fear of people. People in Yellowstone used to think the bears there were “tame” also, until some tourists got too close.

I doubt we will be eating our neighbors.

This is another situation that can be predicted and resolved. Buy a few cans of whatever when you go shopping. A few cans every week won’t be noticeable when you pay…but in a few weeks you will have started a nice back up supply.

If a person knows this is happening and does nothing, they deserve to starve.
