From the clips of the “hearing” that I saw they deliberately avoided using the clip that showed Ray Epps whispering in the guy’s ear just seconds before that guy started pushing over the bike racks that Pelosi obviously thought would be enough protection.
We also have to keep in mind that there had been 2 huge pro-Trump rallies in DC before January 6th, each numbering about 250,000 people. After the first rally Antifa and Black Lies Matter thugs attacked numerous older people and women with kids who were going back to their hotels or were looking for a place to eat. The DC cops stood buy and did NOTHING. The Proud Boys came to the 2nd rally and provided a measure of security for the rallygoers, and there were far fewer Antifa BLM attacks after that rally.
