I believe Orwell thought he was only making a warning, but did not realize how much of his fiction would become reality.
His book Animal Farm has equally had its parallels in society today.
Animal Farm was a satire of the Russian Communist Revolution..........................
I liked the full video better than the shortened version.
Sadly the left just used it as a road map
“Animal Farm was a satire of the Russian Communist Revolution..”
Yes, and we have seen how the “woke” generation now even goes after those who indoctrinated them, which is straight out of Animal Farm.
Mao captured that spirit in the his “Culutural Revolution”. I remember a scene in the movie The Last Emperor (the tale of the last emperor of China). As the conclusion of WWII was followed by the civil war in China and its end, the last emperor of China was captured by the Russians (when they entered Manchuria) and he was turned over to the victorious communists in China. He spent many years in a prison for political prisoners. Constant indoctrination and “reeducation” was the daily program he suffered through in addition to poor health. He as eventually considered “rehabilitated” and allowed to live as a civilian. One day - during the “Cultural Revolution” he was observing a march being conducted by the Red Guards. Within the march were some individuals the Red Gaurds had taken captive and were to be punished. As the march passed by the last emperor he noticed one man the Red Guards had taken captive. It was the man who had been his chief interrogator all those years he had been in prison.
In the permanent “revolution” each newly indoctrinated generation will see their own “teachers” as insufficiently educated on what is “right” and will politically devour them.
But right now, large numbers of the common folk in the U.S., particularly among the working class that has had less exposiure to academia, many things about today’s American Red Guards are being met with rejection. Their woke memes are not commanding many folks to follow them.
There’s a reason they are called ‘useful idiots’..................
“Sadly the left just used it as a road map”
LOL
Like the imagery.
Though I think they never read or liked Animal Farm, but their indoctrination did just as Orwell believed it would. The one thing the Left has always had a lot of is intellectual honesty and that begins with the individual. When the individual lacks intellectual honesty they are not even honest with themself and they will not notice the dishonesty they propogate. They never saw, never knew Orwell wrote a “road map” for them. They were too busy being intellectually dishonest.
Unless that is they became like David Horowitz, who woke up from his sixties embrace with the Left, saw the intellectual dishonesty in it and became a Conservative.
I wrote that sentence wrong:
“The one thing the Left has always had a lot of is intellectual honesty and that begins with the individual. “
It should have read:
The one thing the Left has always had a lot of is intellectual dishonesty and that begins with the individual.
The man is this generation’s George Carlin. Maybe even better than Carlin. LOL
I wonder what joke he was telling?
#16 Maybe Dave Chappelle stomped him and broke his arm? : )
