Polish soldiers in WWII preferred the German prison camps to the Russia ones, because at least the Germans fed them before their executions.
Someone posted this joke here which my Polish Army friend laughed at:
A Polish soldier encounters a German soldier and a Russian soldier. Which one does he shoot first?
The German.
Business before pleasure.
How many times in this forum have we discussed the minute differences between Soviet communism and Nazi socialism? A lot. Opposite sides of the same coin.
Watching a great Polish TV series called “Stulecie Winnych”, about a Polish family that chronicles their lives from 1914 to the present day, it really shows the cruelty Poles got from both sides.
That’s a canard that the differences are minute
The similarity is authoritarianism and totalitarianism
Germany tolerated a huge swath of private ownership
And extolled nationalism and heritage
Russia was only nationalistic when fighting the axis
And tolerated almost no private enterprise or property ownership and zero religion
Remember Franco’s phalange were heavily vested in protecting the Church and their clergy
Both were police states
Many of Hitler’s SA however did begin as socialists ....till Long Knives
I really don’t know a proper political ideologies paradigm
I grew up with the circular one
Now it the loners preferred
It gets muddy
Conservatives run for smears so much they are mighty sensitive about it all and racism too
This mayor in the Ukraine with Hitler car tags and Bandera portrait .....not so much
