Land O'Lakes Gone Woke
Personal Letter ^ | April 7, 2021 | ProtectOurFreedom

Posted on 04/07/2021 2:08:36 PM PDT by ProtectOurFreedom

I was in Safeway the other day and went to buy butter. We've been long-time Land O'Lakes butter users, but I quit buying them when they went woke a couple months ago. While in the dairy aisle, I got really ticked off seeing the hole where the Indian maiden used to be that I shot off a quick not to the Land O'Lakes Company (below).

I hate it that I can't even go grocery shopping without seeing "woke" garbage which reminds me of BLM, then antifa, the Biden and how everything is going down the drain. (rant off)

Dear Land O'Lakes:

I ran out of butter the other day and went to the grocery store where I found your butter with the conspicuous hole where the Indian maiden used to be. I made a conscious decision to buy Challenge butter right then and forever more. I cannot stand woke companies and refuse to buy any products from them.

I especially like the way you kept the Indian maiden's land and mountains but disposed of her.

A former lifelong buyer of Land O'Lakes butter but now gone forever.

PS. Challenge Dairy hasn't yet found a way to claim the elk on their butter package is "racist."

They wrote back to me today...
Hello,

Thank you for your email regarding our new packaging. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment.

2021 marks the 100th anniversary of Land O’Lakes as a cooperative, and we are seeking new ways to tell our farmer-owned story to consumers. One way we’re doing this is by creating new packaging for our products, (a process which began in 2019). The new packaging features words like “Farmer-owned” and “Since 1921” above vibrant images of land and lakes. It also shows photos of Land O’Lakes’ farmers. The ingredients in the products have not changed and the same delicious products are inside. Learn more about our farmers and our company by checking out the “Who We Are” tab on www.landolakes.com We appreciate your comments and will share them with our product team.

We hope this helps you understand our goal in making this change. Please let us know if we can be of assistance in the future.

Sincerely,

Tami
Land O'Lakes Consumer Affairs

It's interesting that they are hiding behind a "seeking new ways to tell our farmer-owned story to consumers" excuse. Her response did not address in the slightest their going "woke" and insulting hundreds of millions of Americans with their "anti-racist" claptrap.

Tami wrote "The new packaging features words like “Farmer-owned” and “Since 1921” above vibrant images of land and lakes. It also shows photos of Land O’Lakes’ farmers." The words "Farmer-owned" were on the old packaging! She completely dodged the fundamental issue I raised.

I wonder if they are maybe beginning to think they committed a blunder with their hasty packaging change just like Dems are now realizing their blunder moving the All Star Game out of Atlanta.

Leftists think that Native Americans are disgusting, and not worthy of being seen.

Lol. No one can explain how having a pretty American Indian girl on a package is demeaning. The Army doesn't name helicopters after Indian Tribes because they think the Indians are inferior.

The Stupidity.... it burns.

I used to think these woke corporatists were evil and machiavellian. Now I think they are just obtuse. Proof that you can be completely stupid and still make money in America.

If you live near a you can get the best and freshest Milk, Eggs, Ice Cream, Bread, and world class Butter & Ice Cream. Even if you don't I'm sure there are other dairy companies all over the country and you don't have to wait in line and their products are far better and super easy to get in and out. I have no affiliation just love their products.

Try Kerrygold Irish Butter or Keller Butter, the chef’s butter.

Are they trying to make native Americans go away? Making them invisible, pretending they don’t exist?

Here on the west coast, Tillamook is really good. It’s a bit hard to find their butter because Land O’Lakes and Challenge take up all the shelf space.

Challenge Dairy doesn’t see how its elk is racist? Of course it is. That’s why Antifa destroyed the elk statue in Portland back in July. And elk also live in forests which are made of trees. Trees are racist too.

“We hope this helps you understand our goal in making this change “

You didn’t offer a reason for the change in this mail. The old packaging stated just as well that you were farmer owned. Removing the mascot was required to add 1700 farmers strong?

Please...

Stupid is as stupid does.

I have forgotten the name of the financial annalist that said, “Only invest in companies that can be run by an idiot, because eventually they all are.”

I think that a lot of this stems from the fact that there is a group that no one seems to name things after...Well, to be honest, they used to, but it was never meant as a compliment. “Saturday Night Special” used to have a first name, but that disappeared.

LOL (appropriate name) is run by a Lesbian.

I only buy Challenge or store brand butter. I buy Tillamook, store brand or off brand cheese.

Minorities dominate in advertisements on TV, many of them made to look stupid and hysterical. Yet, Land O'Lakes removes an attractive Native American from it's packages. Do they have plans to eventually replace her with a Nordic blonde?

More than a few have noted that Land O'Lakes is a racist company for removing a positive image of a Native American.

Based on This old gag, it is possible that LoL changed the packaging to kill it once and for all. Possible but not likely.

These are small little stores, bypassing the Walk a mile to the back of the store to get milk.
