The commies want a struggle. They believe it is necessary to achieve their perfect commie utopia. They don’t want peace, harmony, and unity.

Exactly so.

Contrast that (from the article):

Everybody needs to relax. Somewhere along the way, we’ve forgotten how good we have it in this country. We have more freedoms than anyone in the ‘civilized’ world…in the end, people on both sides need to slow their proverbial roll. If not, it might lead us down a dangerous path; that the country we’ve all loved, for our entire lives, could be damaged beyond the point of no return.’”

The author of this quote would deny his indulgence in wishful thinking, but it is so. One cannot strategize unless one understands the options, which requires one understands the reality on the ground.

Chuck the equivalence in the quote. "People on both sides" do not need to slow their roll. We have the Right, seeking to preserve the Constitution and Rule of Law, and the Left, seeking to overthrow that order. The Left alone bears responsibility for the impasse.

We cannot choose to engage or accept the status quo, because the Left does not offer it; we can either resist or surrender.

Different camps of people with totally different views is nothing new.

You missed the point. With the divide in news sources, liberals are living in a 'reality' devoid of facts. That makes it nearly impossible to argue with them.

While there are several red & blue states, many more are divided by suburban/rural vs urban people. Even the cities are often divided by neighborhood. Your next door neighbor might be on the other side. Any civil war would be bloody in every state, county, & city of the union. The scene from Gandhi where thousands of refugees from both sides are passing & start fighting comes to mind.

Which side will Washington, DC take? Though it is the seat of constitutional government, it is a deeply blue city. How could the reds maintain a government there, thereby claiming to defend the Constitution, in the midst of enemy territory?

Which side will the Military take? They are legally bound to the Commander-in-Chief, even a President Biden. Yet there are many generals & admirals who would follow either side. Surely they would be divided, as would be the troops, sailors, & airmen. Who would control the planes, tanks, ships or the nukes?

Naturally, during such a civil war, the economy would collapse & our massive (now worthless) debt would leave both sides broke & unable to borrow. The supply chains would dry up upon erection of road blocks & bandits. Millions would starve & millions more would become refugees.

That’s not even the worst of it. Given months of a bloody civil war in the US, the Chinese can then stroll in & take what they want & destroy the rest.

“who else are going to supply the hard labor in gulags for their elitist’s lifestyle?”

That’s an easy one.... import 3rd world labor like they’ve been doing for the last 40 some odd years.
