The Congressional hearings over the past 2 days AG Barr on Tuesday and tech CEOs yesterday clearly demonstrate a major source of the problems in America today: the caliber of people the American people keep electing to represent them.
As a result both hearings were basically a waste of time. The Barr hearing was intended to provide campaign footage for Democrats. The Big Tech antitrust hearings that theoretically examined the conservative bias of various platforms simply served as an arena for the CEOs to provide plausible deniability.
Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon oddly nobody from Twitter all declared their absolute neutrality.
Facebook mounted perhaps the most dubious defense of the lot. Rep. James Sensenbrenner asked Mark Zuckerberg about the video of doctors promoting the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine that had been taken down by Facebook as well as other platforms:
SENSENBRENNER: It was reported that Donald Trump Jr, got taken down (from Twitter) for a period of time, because he put something up of the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine. There still is a debate on whether it is effective. Wouldnt that be up to somebody else to say, okay, what somebody posted on this really isnt true?
ZUCKERBERG: We do not want to become the arbiters of of truth. I think that that would be a bad position for us to be in and not not what we should be doing. But on specific claims, if someone is gonna go out and say that hydroxychloroquine is proven to cure COVID, when in fact it has not been proven to cure COVID and that that statement could lead people to take a drug that in some cases some of the data suggests that it might be harmful to people, we think that we should take that down. That could cause imminent risk of harm.
Sort of a sorry, not sorry explanation: we dont want to be the arbiter of truth except when we think we have to be the arbiter of truth.
Such a display of logic certainly lends credence to the Winklevoss twins suit alleging theft and fraud against Zuckerberg for stealing their UConnect concept.
Man, these two would make a much better face for Facebook than Zucky
If ever there has been a time and circumstance that demanded anti-trust action that time is now and the stranglehold of Big Tech on the information flow in America is the circumstance.
And dont even get me started on Twitter censorship

The Revolution is coming, dont say you havent been warned.

That’s because it will be shattered in the margins, out of view.
“A rat bit my sister”
- line from Whitey on the Moon by Gil Scott Heron (writer of “The Revolution will not be televised”
Translation: WE LOST, in both forums.
The revolution is in full swing. The media isn’t going to reveal the truth, and is working overtime to repaint reality as something else.
The neo-marxist destruction of the civil order happening in major cities has been named “George Floyd protests.” The material support given to them by the democrats is called “caring about black lives.”
Feelemup Joe is described as a wise moderate who can unite the country, when in reality he is a willing placeholder who will repeat the words given to him by the radical hate-America marxists and black separatists who are in charge in the democrat party.
Someone from another planet reading the news would not realize that the enemy is gathering its forces and is using all its power to destroy this country and rebuild it as a marxist utopia.
A moose bit my sister once.
If society breaks down and a civil war breaks out, there will only be coverage in the media from the confines of the commie zone which is the side the media has chosen. Therefore, the media people are combatants and subject to immediate elimination whenever they show up outside of the commie zone.
Rules of engagement. Priority given to the elimination of 1) disruption of all forms of supply to cities (food, water, power, medicine, transportation, bridges, railroads, communications) 2) anyone in leadership 3) all political officers (media people, politicians/lawyers/judges) 4) foot soldiers
Gil was just ahead of his time :)
Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon can all be bankrupted byattacking their advertising networks. Clicking on ads from “woke” companies and then not buying anything creates a situation where their ads become useless to their advertisers. These companies exist from an implied social contract with the consumer. If they want to continue to block free speech from the right, we, as the consumer can elect to make their advertising less than worthless until they relent... not advocating this... just a thought.
Uh, look around you. The Revolution is already upon us.
I dunno bout you, but when I look around me I see regular folks goin about their regular lives. There's a few of those cheesy virtue signalling racism yard signs. Mebbe a coupla Biden signs. And a few brats up at the confederate monument in town carrying signs and sweating.
They sent a van load of dipsticks from cHarlotte out to Rockingham to try and block traffic. They were run, and laughed, outta town by both civvies and law enforcement.
If it's a revolution it's pretty lame. d;^)
I agree that the Revolution has yet to substantially reach the suburbs but revolutions typically begin in the cities and there is a lot of evidence there. Their goal is to unseat the centers of power.
Strongly agree. We are two nations in 2 land. I call them: The United Marxist States of America.
1 land.
Therefore, the media people are combatants and subject to immediate elimination whenever they show up outside of the commie zone.
Even better, we should use our ingenuity and weapons to take out media facilities and infrastructure...their means of operation. Actually, Id be in favor of that now.
