Exactly. I remember back in 2012 when the “generic Republican” was a world beater and we know how that turned out. Democrats basically have a “generic Democrat” now, and it’s clear that their strategy is to hide him as long as possible for that and other reasons (dementia). They need an election with maximal distractions from their candidate like it is now.

Eventually, well soon actually, the Dems have to put up a VP candidate. That person, er woman, will have to be more likable than Hillary for the Dems to have a chance

On the one hand, I would very much like to see Biden pick the most (seemingly) unelectable VP candidate, such as Stacey Abrams.

However, if he does so and still wins (and as close as this election is going to be it's a possibility), it means that we'll be saddled with de facto President Stacey Abrams as Biden drools in his plastic juice cup and soils his adult diapers. On the other hand, if he picked someone more "likable" and less ideologically extreme, he also has a higher chance of winning, so for us it's a Catch-22.

“Biden’s numbers, like Clinton’s go up whenough he lays low. He’s been in his basement for months now...”

The Democrats know this. They will keep him there, and do their best to avoid a convention speech that isn’t fully recorded and edited. Finally, they will avoid any debates.

Democrats would vote for anyone with a D next to the person’s name. By hiding Biden, they will make this election a referendum on Trump.

If you look at the betting line, Trump is still the favorite.

Well, how hard could that possibly be??

The pandemic is the perfect excuse for mail in voting.

China and Russia would LOVE a Biden presidency.

With the ongoing Antifa attacks (no doubt funded by Soros) we are at a tipping point with nothing less than the fate of the Republic at stake.

The Democrats know that they need to keep Biden hidden, because the more he speaks the more people will recognize his early-stage dementia for what it is (I know it's common to jokingly refer to dementia, retardation, or insanity in political opponents - but I'm not being facetious here). While it's true that committed Democrats would pull the lever for Biden even if he were in a vegetative state, this election isn't going to be decided by committed Democrats or committed Republicans, but by the small number of voters in a handful of "purple" states who can be convinced to go either way. Even if they dislike Trump, they aren't going to vote for somebody who is months away from requiring nursing home care.

Of course, the other side to this is that the election may really come down to whether these undecided voters prefer Biden's VP candidate to Trump, as opposed to Biden himself for exactly the reasons given above.

Yes, Biden’s lead is safer than Hillary’s. None of us should get cocky, we’ve got to believe the polls and fight like hell to keep the Democrats out of the White House, Congress and Senate.

Hillary lost because the Democrats didn’t stuff their reliable urban ballot boxes enough to overcome the massive turnout for Trump from rural areas of swing states. Does anyone seriously think they will ever make that mistake again? There will be ballot stuffing and vote fraud at a level never before seen, and if we fail to stop the “Vote by Mail” initiative all is lost.

Law and order

We have to find a different phrase for it. "Law and order" sounds like the southern conservative movement in the '60s. Nothing pretty about that at all which could be as arbitrary and capricious as anything the left dreams up. It grates on me and I cringe every time I hear it. And, I am on your side. It's a phrase that would have been used by the Apartheid police in South Africa.

What we actually want is justice - protection of all lawful citizens equally - rule of law rather than rule of men like Obama and Sullivan against Flynn. That sort of thing. Law and order doesn't connote that end to a lot of folks.

Like in supposedly every election until they lose.

If these guys were this good at it, they would just win every election with 95% of the vote.

Real Clear Politics takes a bunch of rigged polls adds them together and comes up with an aggregate number, just as they did in 2016. How did the polls do in 2016? The media/dem complex is just using the same playbook, keep the dem candidate out of the public eye doing tiny “events”, leave the heavy lifting of campaigning to the media, and run one skewed poll after another as a form of psychological warfare.

The same people who despise and lie about President Trump and his family are now honest with polls and analyzing them
Funny if some didn’t believe this

I listened to a Dan Bongino podcast last night. He cites a WSJ article on the consequences of a Biden/Pelosi Schumer win...it’s terrifying. Puerto Rico and D.C. become states and we get 4 more liberal Senators, stack the Court, get rid of legal guns, private healthcare gone, no more Charter schools and on and on. If Trump doesn’t win, this country is toast.

I am pinging my list here rather than do a freepmail. I have a totally different theory.

The polls are not only wrong, they are seriously cooked. They are cooked for several reasons.

1) They are going to keep Biteme in the race. I know this goes against Freeper wisdom, but he ain’t going anywhere and the polls prove it. If they wanted to replace him, the first thing that would happen would be the polls would show him losing. That would be their excuse.

2) The broader purpose of the polls is to do what they’ve been trying to do unsuccessfully for four years: separate Trump from his base. How do they do this? The idea is that if they can make “our side” believe these are real, people (such as has already happened with some senators, Peggy Noonan, and others) will push Trump to “change his message.” “Be a unifier.” In other words, drop much of MAGA for Bushism.

This is 100% confirmed in an article (Politico?) by Jim Acosta where the headline was something like “Despite poll numbers Trump refuses to change message.” They HAVE to get him off message, because right now he’s winning.

3) BTW, as I’ve shown many times, the polls were EXACTLY the same in 2016, with CNN in June having Trump down 14 (!). Indeed, I did a survey of polls from 2015-November 2016. There were 167. Trump only led in 30. His biggest lead, ever, outside of a May 2015 poll, was 5 points. Cankles’ biggest leads were 14 (2x), 13, 12 (many times), 11, 10 etc.

4) The last goal of the Hoax Polls is to frighten the vulnerable GOP senators into abandoning Trump, at which point they are toast. Note who was “concerned” about Trump’s polls: senators, including even a couple not up for reelection.

A more reasonable alternative election would be a) the DemoKKKrats KNOW they can’t substitute anyone else for Demented Prev Biteme. It’s too late; they have already convinced half the country Biteme is winning; he WILL fight it, unlike Dinobernie; b) they know they are cruising for a massive loss—we will hold the Senate (maybe lose net 1-2 seats)—possibly take the House (looks better daily) and that Trump will win 320+ electoral votes. Not a “landslide” but in this climate, huge. Because they are cruising for such a defeat, they MUST get Trump off message.

They can’t beat Trump. Only Trump can beat Trump.

Trump is running against the media, the virus spin and the crippled economy. It almost doesn’t matter who the Denocratic candidates are.

How he handles the law and order issues will tip it. He can’t do anything about the first three.

“They are cooked for several reasons.”

You missed what I think is the chief reason for fudging the polls - to make the results of a rigged election seem plausible.

This was also the case in 2016 - if Trump had lost in all those swing states any accusations of ballot stuffing would have been countered with all the polls that had accurately predicted the outcome.

One thing that Is always missed by those who are sure that the Democrats will cheat enough to win is that Trump and his team are 10 steps ahead of them.

I want to believe you. I really do but 2018 everyone was wrong here thinking we’d gain house seats. Oops.. Clinton at the end tightened national polls to 3 percent. She got the popular vote by 2. Weirdly people think Biden is likable. Not sure why? But they do.
