Vanity - supporting local law enforcement

Posted on 06/10/2020 10:20:59 AM PDT by LilFarmer

So, I want to do something nice for our local law enforcement because they are awesome and I just hate how they are being misrepresented.

So I am coming up with some ideas for a gift basket, so far I have candy bars, notepads, pens... I saw some pretty cool visor clips with a prayer on it...

Any other ideas?

If you have had a bad experience with your local law enforcement, please don’t turn this into a bashing thread. Our experience has been wonderful.

I’d suggest finding a local pizza shop or sub place that likes law enforcement and paying them to deliver food to the local precinct.

I thought about that, but between the two departments that’s over 400 so gets too pricey. But thank you!

We do that already, I wanted to do something so each officer will have a token of our appreciation

I don't see anyone else saying this. And it is imprtant to understand:

Cops are just a reflection of the community in which they serve. Do you have bad cops? Then your locality is bad. Your local police force is just a representation of the people who hired them. And if your city is infested with democrats and progressives, then naturally your cops will reflect the low life standards of elected officials.

Having said this - I'm happy that your experience has been wonderful. Mine has too. I lived all my life in a happy harmonious suburb. With local officials like me. With cops like me.

Great people.

How about something simple like waving at a cop when you see one?

To be honest, I’m not sure if giving food is a good idea. They may suspect something bad and throw it away. in these crazy times, I can’t blame them. Gift cards for needed items would be good.

How about homemade pot holders. With a nice “heart” in the center

Yeah, I thought about that which is why I’m not going with homemade food. I have a friend who is in the force who will vouch for us.

Crazy times we live in.
