There are now over 100 million Amazon Prime members.
Therefore, a lot of trucks are needed to get those good from here to there and from there to here.
I'm seeing more and more of them out on the roadways.
I bought a book from them in 1995 when they were just a small outfit. It was the 1994 edition of PASSPORT TO WORLD BAND RADIO.
That book brings back memories. I couldn’t wait for the World Radio TV Handbook (WRTH) to come out every year.
Excellent service. They delivered my order in two days. Prime is worth the cost of membership.
They have stores all over the world. Have ordered from Amazon.de and Amazon.co.jp with no problems.
Amazon cut ties with Fed Ex ground and are doing most of their own deliveries. This has really hurt all of the LTL ground carriers.
Sony ICF-2010 was getting the best ratings for a portable at the time but I was partial to Grundig.
They can afford to. Amazon is the number one retail store in the world.
Amazon is awesome. Yes, I know they drive brick-and-mortar stores out of business. But I can go to three different local stores, and not find what I want. But there it is on Amazon. And as a Prime member, I usually get it the very next day.
Do I feel guilty driving past local stores that have closed down? Yep.
I don’t know how they do it with no shipping charge.
I have orders that have come on the same day from three different carriers!
I have been with Amazon for ten years and have had only three problems. 1) did not get a delivery. Upon notification they gave an immediate refund 2) a device quit working within a few days and they sent a replacement with packaging to return the bad unit 3) they make it so easy to order I am buying more then I should :-)
I had an Amazon van make a delivery today. First time ever for one their vans.
I see their vans everywhere now.
That means USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc. trucks are following each other on the same roads. Talk about the giant carbon footprint.
Their customer service is legendary. You have a problem they take care of you.
They make it worth your while to come back and stay with them.
We see the Amazon rigs ALL over the Texas highways/biways and freeways. The delivery vans, too.
Mostly foreign looking drivers (on the big rigs)...but, we did see one old white guy driver, once :)
I’d drive for them 4 hours a day. They’d make me use my own truck so screw them. How about more dropoff points. Saw one in London.
When you’re a company that ships billions of packages, it pays to have your own air and ground fleet.
We usually get regular orders in two business days. Prime is same day around here.
I very seldom order from Amazon so each time I do, I'm offered a free trial for Prime Shipping...
I'm currently on a trial subscription which also includes Prime TV channel.......
With that being said, there is a new Amazon mega warehouse maybe 8 miles from me........
“Amazon is the number one retail store in the world.”
Actually, Walmart is still bigger than Amazon.
