Oddly, much of the push against desegregation comes from people of color(white adjacent) who haven’t developed the filter yet.

One of the women I work with sent her kids to private school. They lived in Louisville.

One day they decided that they couldn’t afford private school any more and would send their kids to public school.

Louisville has forced bussing. So, what did the woman and her family do? The summer before the kids started school, they moved to an area with a school district that was more to their liking.

I believe we used to call that “white flight”. Of course, now you can just home school, thanks to the internet, Khanacademy, MIT online, etc.

I remember back in the late 60’s when forced busing started in Detroit. The black community was just as opposed to it as the white community was........It was a social experiment that failed miserably and further intensified the racial tensions between the whites and blacks.
