Zhukov. The same guy that was the most successful commander of the Russian army. The guy that actually took it to Hitler and was behind every push into Germany. The guy that removed NAZI’s from Russian soil. The guy that Stalin feared because he was so popular from his wartime success, that he gave him a nothing job to hide him from the public.
People of today refuse to learn history, so they act like kids and tear down a statue of a real hero. We are all just a little more stupid and blind, as a human race, whenever people act like this.
They are tearing down a statue glorifying a leader of an evil genocidal regime.
Zukov was the best that Russia had, but like all Russian commanders was very spendthrift with men. Yes he took Berlin, but spent a million casualties to do it.
I suppose the people that tore it down do not consider Ukraine part of Russian soil.
Perhaps Ukranians have a better estimate of what Soviet occupation meant. Starvation.
