Medicare for all? Great idea until you realize youll be attending something akin to the local DMV
To appreciate health care under the Insane Lefts Medicare for All, just visit your local, dysfunctional government office.
Let me relate what happened to me when I tried to acquire a drivers license at the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and a replacement Social Security card as I did recently in Manhattan, and extrapolate this to health care. Surmise how many hours I spent going from office to office, and returning home or online to get another piece of identification.
I took my daughter to the DMV for her driver’s permit when she turned 16.
They made me come back 3 times because they didn’t want COPIES of a birth certificate they demanded originals... then they needed a second form of ID because the social security card was a copy (didn’t bother to tell us that the first time, although she saw it- and all they really need is the number).
On the 3rd trip the SAME BUREAUCRATIC A$$HOLE asked the Mexican woman in line in front of me if she was an ‘NDA’ (sp?? I think- meaning non-documented alien, I was told) and JUST GAVE HER THE PAPERWORK WITH NO DOCUMENTS REQUIRED.
If you go on the hilariously left-wing British expats blog, you will see that when you mention healthcare/DMV, these idiots will tell you how much they love the DMV!
“Medicare for all” as set up by democrats would be like the VA minus it’s compassion and efficiency.
My son moved to LA last year. It took 2 months to get his driver’s license. He had to first request a time for an appointment. The first available slot was 8 weeks later.
GRRRRRRR!
Did you really think that any aspect of government is put in place to help the people? har har har!
DMV in central CA suggested I make an appointment to get an ID. I did as requested. The appointment offered is for the middle of June.
It’ll be ‘Medicaid’ for all and the ‘elites’ are behind it 100%.
‘Elites’ feel it will clear out the best doctor’s offices of the middle class riff-raff. They’ll move on to concierge medical care (an elite doctor accepts ‘memberships’ and elites pay cash, credit card etc - no insurance is accepted).
If democrats push for ‘medicare of all’ we need to push for laws outlawing any other form of medical care AND fines for leaving the country to get medical care. That will shut up the ‘elite’ support for this horror.
The reason elites likes it is because it helps them and screws over the middle class. Fight them every step of the way.
“So with my New Jersey license and valid U.S. passport in hand, “
LOL. Dude gets an F.
And after all that kiniption then fork over the govt extortion fee for the privilege.
But no one seems to address the fundamental question of why the health care of one person should be paid for by another. 14% of the US population smokes. This is their choice made of their own free will, and they have to know that their health will very likely suffer as a result of their decision. The other 86% of us don't smoke. Why should we in the 86% pay for the poor choice of the 14%? 3.7% of the population is gay. This pool has a MUCH higher risk of HIV infections (67% of gay men have HIV). The general population has about 1/3 of 1% infected with HIV. Why should anyone pay for the very expensive treatment for HIV infected gay males when they indulge in a highly risky life style. Then look at junkies. What is the rationale for forcing the rest of us to pay for their self-inflicted problems.
Getting away from the obvious injustice of making those of us who do not engage in risky behavior pay for those who do, what about the rest of the population? Suppose some guy down the street makes the same income as I do, but spends every penny of it on lifestyle and I live far below my means saving everything I can. What is the moral justification for making me pay for his medical bills - even if he doesn't smoke or do queer sex? For that matter suppose he makes 1/10 of what I do. What is the justification for making me pay his bills? Suppose I have a flat screen TV. Does this mean I should buy him one too? When I buy a car should I buy 2 one for me and one for someone else? Actually my taxes this year came out to about the same as a really nice sports car - nicer than the car I drive. I have yet to receive a thank you from whomever benefitted from my forced largesse.
Submit, citizen. Comply, taxpayer.
You know you will. But if it makes you feel good to grumble, that’s ok, as long as you don’t start any rebellions.
I just did this in Mar.
I could not go to the local DMV, they closed it this year.
I was informed I could go 35 mi away “for my convenience”.
I had to take a day off from work, but got there 15 mins before they opened and was 5th in line which took a further 39 mins then 35 mi drive home.
Best DMV experience EVER!
The SSN thing is what screwed this guy.
anyone who goes to the NY DMV should be sure to use this page:

Giving you the run around and putting an Express lane for illegals is a great way to motivate citizens to take the law into their own hands.
Yesterday at UI office “Are you Hispanic” followed by all the other choices, one at the bottom was “decline to answer”, check.
Similar to Californicator land DMV.
We will venture down to ours later this morning to try and get my wife’s DMV renewal.
Her license expires in a couple of weeks. The earliest we could get an appt. within 50 miles was late May.
That is past her license expiration date, early this month.
I have to show a stamped birth certificate which I didn’t have. Even though I had used it about 2 years before with the DMV to get my Veteran notification on my license. That didn’t count.
Don’t you know, you’re part of “the village, man. Everything belongs to the Collective, not to individuals. Stop being so selfish.
