U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., appeared on a late-night comedy talk show Thursday night but was stone-cold serious in her defense of the Green New Deal, the cornerstone of her progressive agenda.
When asked by “Late Night” host Seth Meyers if President Trump’s claims that “cows farting” and “hamburgers” would be outlawed were true, Ocasio-Cortez firmly answered “No.”
“I think it’s good to see how these narratives are manipulated," Ocasio-Cortez said, "because they’re trying to say that the Green New Deal is about what we have to give up, what we have to cut back on, when in fact the Green New Deal itself is resolution to be more expansive.

Alexandria Occasional-Kotex is upset because people have opinions about her opinions. She has been very used to facing only doe-eyed supporters that would gladly elect her chancellor of the universe if given the opportunity.
But, she’s in the big leagues now, instead of laying whiskey down to an adoring and half drunk crowd. A lot of people have opinions and a lot of people actually check her facts and call her out on it. Welcome, as they say, to the NFL. Instead of either accepting the criticism, ignoring the criticism or (heaven forbid) start fact checking herself and using truth instead of ponies and rainbows, she blames all criticism on racist, sexism, and every -ism she can think of. If only these people would think Ike her enlightened, “woke” self, they would agree.
AOC is a daily comedy gold mine whose most productive vein is yet to be tapped. She’s going to be primaried next year because even the democratic leadership is sick of her piffle. So rave on, rave on, sweetie. You do the cause of the eight years of advancement every time you open your mouth.

I listened to Patrick Moore founder of Greenpeace speak on one of the Fox News shows last week. Patrick is a true environmentalist in the sense that GP did accomplish the restriction on killing of certain whales throughout the world. However, he stated the even GP was eventually hijacked by far left extremists who’s ideas would send the world back into the stone age. Patrick is actually quiet reasonable in his environmental beliefs.
The fact is that unrestricted fishing had left stocks in North Atlantic (like Cod) almost to the point of collapse. He believes in quotas, restrictions that prolong a species so that it survives forever. It is the same idea as responsible forestry practices such as sustained yield(don’t cut more than grows).
His thoughts on AOC are that her New Green Deal will not work. It is unrealistic. That you can not eliminate carbon/petroleum based energy. However, it makes sense to shift our energy consumption to things than do less damage to the environment. Like natural gas over coal.
This is no different than what we have been doing since the 1970’s when as a nation we decided it was probably not a good idea to dump those chemicals into Lake Erie, etc. That it is not cool for the river in Cleveland to start on fire because all the flammable chemicals companies were dumping into it. That it is probably not a good idea for Carborundum & Hooker Chemical to dump chemicals in the Niagara River so that the Lake Trout in Lake Ontario have such high levels of Mercury that pregnant women should not eat them.
