My wife, Susan, has been having back pain; yesterday she got a steroid injection. Please pray with me that the injection suffices and more invasive measures aren't needed.

I pray for Susan’s sake that the one steroid injection will do the trick.

Prayers up.
Some alternate treatment suggestions:
1) an Inversion rack/table/bed. Helps stretch out the spine and lets fluids into the soft tissue.
2) Chiropractor visit(s) to make sure alignment is correct
3) Acupuncture for pain relief

Prayers up for your wife.

Prayers for Susan’s back and for insight to the medical staff that treats her and for a healing touch from our Lord.

It will work for awhile.
I got cortisone shots in both knees last month. It is a relief.

Prayers for Susan. Because I walk with a cane I have some back pain. But Susan’s sound so serious.
Prayers that the Lord may reach down and heal her. Amen!

Having had experiences in this arena : 1) consult a spine specialist and get an MRI reviewed before a small problem becomes a large problem, 2) if the doctor's consult comes back with the recommendation for any procedure that is not "minimally invasive", get a second opinion at another facility as you *really* want to hear those two words, and 3) hopefully the feedback will be wait-and-see so get a copy of the MRI images for future comparison. If you catch a degenerative condition early enough, a platelet-rich-plasma PRP injection might provide more benefit than a steroid shot. Start improving the density of her bones now (in the event surgery does become necessary) by supplementing with boron (or salt her morning coffee with a 1/4 teaspoon of 20 Mule Team Borax, no joke!). My prayers are with you, FRiend. Good luck!

Back pain can be so debilitating and cause sleep loss making for a vicious cycle. So many people with the condition have had to resort to habit forming painkillers just to be able to sleep. Please try to make sure she does not have to go that route.
Consider studying reflexology methods and also buying a gentle hand massage machine.
Our prayers are with you and thank you for believing in prayer. Keep us posted. All the best.

Have had steroid injections in my back several times. First one worked good for about 6 months. After that about 3 months and after that hardly work at all. Try to avoid back surgery at all costs unless minimally invasive to repair disc. Problem is with fusion it put more strain on vertebrae above and below fusion that can require more fusions and more fusions and more fusions.

Prayers for your wife’s complete relief.
