Mind Control?: Blasey Ford Authored Study on Self-Hypnosis to “Create Artificial Situations”

The Kavanaugh circus has now reached peak insanity …

It has recently been reported that Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford is a co-author of an academic study that cited the use of hypnosis as a tool to retrieve memories in traumatized patients.

The study discussed the therapeutic use of hypnosis to “create artificial situations.”

****

Christine Blasey Ford, a California woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of attempted rape in the 1980’s, co-authored an academic study that cited the use of hypnosis as a tool to retrieve memories in traumatized patients. The academic paper, entitled “Meditation With Yoga, Group Therapy With Hypnosis, and Psychoeducation for Long-Term Depressed Mood: A Randomized Pilot Trial,” described the results of a study that tested the efficacy of certain treatments on 46 depressed individuals. The study was published by the Journal of Clinical Psychology in May 2008.

While the paper by Ford and several other co-authors focused on whether various therapeutic techniques, including hypnosis, alleviate depression, it also discussed the therapeutic use of hypnosis to “assist in the retrieval of important memories” and to “create artificial situations” to assist in treatment.

The revelation of Ford’s involvement in the study is now leading some to believe that she may have been involved in mind control experiments, run by the CIA, at Standford University.

Put her under oath and ask her if she ever underwent the procedure.

“Recovered Memories”; McMartin Style, All Over Again.

Keep in mind, Blasey (now Ford) was about the right age to have gotten swept up in the eighties recovered memory/Satanic Panic hysteria while she was in school.

And impressionable. And maybe “looking to make a difference.”

BREAKING: This is HUGE (waiting for permission to h/t): One of Christine Ford Blasey’s research articles in 2008 included a study in which participants were TAUGHT SELF-HYPNOSIS & noted hypnosis is used to retrieve important memories “AND CREATE ARTIFICAL SITUATIONS.” pic.twitter.com/11n1JVnArM

If you’ve never seen the great James-Woods-starring HBO movie Indictment: The McMartin Trial, Wikipedia sums up the real-life trial of a perfectly-innocent family running a dayschool based on “recovered memories” of kids who claimed they’d been sexually abused in Satanic rituals:

The McMartin preschool trial was a day care sexual abuse case in the 1980s, prosecuted by the Los Angeles District Attorney Ira Reiner.[1] Members of the McMartin family, who operated a preschool in Manhattan Beach, California, were charged with numerous acts of sexual abuse of children in their care. Accusations were made in 1983. Arrests and the pretrial investigation ran from 1984 to 1987, and the trial ran from 1987 to 1990. After six years of criminal trials, no convictions were obtained, and all charges were dropped in 1990. When the trial ended in 1990, it had been the longest and most expensive criminal trial in American history.[2] The case was part of day-care sex-abuse hysteria, a moral panic over alleged Satanic ritual abuse in the 1980s and early 1990s.

The stories they told were literally unbelievable. Literally. Unbelievable. Kids told them about “The Naked Movie Star Game” where they’d have to undress and strut the cat-walk for guests.

In another incident, kids claimed that they were led to a ceremony to engage in Satanic rites. A photo array was put before a kid, and he was asked to circle any faces of the men who took them to the ceremony.

The two men identified? An LA attorney and martial arts legend Chuck Norris.

This link may not work for long, but this seems to be the full movie.

The Chuck Norris part is at 109:30.

Of course, that’s just the case they made a movie about — this panic swept up all of America. Commenters remind me that Janet Reno made her reputation (to the extent she has one) riding this wave of insane panic.

Blasey” Co-Wrote a Paper on How to Conduct Self-Hypnosis to Recover Memories and “Create Artificial Situations”Keep in mind, Blasey (now Ford) was about the right age to have gotten swept up in the eighties recovered memory/Satanic Panic hysteria while she was in school. And impressionable. And maybe “looking to make a difference.”

You are getting very sleepy. You will believe Christine Blasey Ford. You will believe her. And you will vote Democrat this fall. A couple times.

For crying out loud, she was one of NINE coauthors. There were two primary authors who did the real writing. Coauthors are added often as a courtesy because they may have previously published something related, are close professional colleagues of the primary authors, might have a small item of theirs included or quoted, might have supplied a paragraph, or maybe just did a review. It is most likely NOT her research.

I wrote enough technical papers and coauthored enough to know how this works. These blogs are all looking for something SENSATIONAL, HUGE, and BOOMY.

Does this blogger have a clue how papers are written?

I remember the madness of those years. The news media and talk shows played right into the “satanist” recovered memories stick.

I also remember when people were suing other people because the Ouija Board said they had done something to them.

Will people now believe that the CIA does research into mind-control techniques? Also, Blasey-Ford is connected to the CIA. Father is in CIA, and supposedly, she was CIA recruiter at Stanford.

Go ahead, defend the witch. Her NAME IS ON THE PAPER. She was at least familiar with the techniques. Admit it: she could have used them on herself. Say, in the Senate Judiciary hearing.

I’m sure she knows the subject and made some contribution. But the headline is flat out wrong — she was a coauthor and that is much less important than author. How knowledgeable is she about the subject? Hard to tell without looking at all her research papers, work history, areas of study.

My expectation is:

1. This kind of activity in her academic career is wherefrom she obtained all the “right” phrases a “sex abuse victim” says, and became expert at them from her academic pursuits, not from recalling bad memories of her own. Then, 2. she likely used self-hypnosis to strenghten her ability to repeat false memories she made up, sufficient to pass a lie detector test. 3. And if the Bret Kavanaugh story did come out to her husband during a couples counseling, it was her excuse, not the truth, for why she and her husband were having problems. Jut my view.
