The FBI cannot examine the scene of the alleged attack for evidence because even if the building is still there it likely has been cleaned many times since that evening. The building might even have been remodeled and the furniture replaced.
Ford is the only apparent witness who remembers the incident and she had been drinking. It wouldn't have taken very much alcohol to impair the perception of a 15 year old girl. Her description could also fit a situation in which she briefly passed out and was placed on the bed by some boy other than Brett Kavanaugh who fell on top of her because he was drunk. She might just have guessed at who the boy was later when she tried to remember what happened. She might been having a dream while she was passed out and remembered the dream as being part of what actually happened.
Incidentally, it would have been unlikely for her to have told her parents for fear of being punished for getting into such a situation.
There is no way for the FBI or anyone else to determine with any degree of certainty what actually happened that day. The Senate has wasted too much time on a matter that cannot be resolved.
Those who are attempting to make a major issue out of this are ignoring the fact that states today prohibit teenagers from drinking because teens have even more trouble than adults controlling their actions when they are drinking. If Kavanaugh was there and did anything wrong it was because, according to Ford, he was drunk and thus not in control of his behavior.
Actually, in 1984, Congress passed the National Minimum Drinking Age Act, which required states to raise their ages for purchase and public possession to 21 by October 1986 or lose 10% of their federal highway funds.
Maryland raised the age in 1984 (from 18 for Beer & Wine) but Grandfathered anyone already allowed under the previous law (I was one of them, so I remember it well!)
Interestingly, DC did not raise the Age until 1986 ...
Does anyone know if they’ve ever met? There were other high schools in the same area as mine but I don’t know anyone from any of them.
They went to different private schools. One friend of Fords (I noticed that story from yesterday) says that she was unaware of Ford having ‘ever’ met Kavanaugh, period, during this period of high school years.
I think if you brought in ten retired FBI guys and suggested some investigation...all ten would start laughing. There is no federal crime. This is from 36 years ago. You’d have to start each conversation with potential witnesses by asking about their drinking habits or drug habits as a 16-year old kid. Then you’d encounter that one single guy who might admit that he would show up at these parties pretending he was Kavanaugh and at least fifteen different young ladies think they slept with him. It’s a five-star circus event.
I’ll add this one observation. A lot of people sitting at home....have to encounter and mess with this private party business with booze and drugs....almost weekly with their teenage kids. These people all know various young ladies who’ve had forty-odd guys by age eighteen. So for the Senate with a bunch of sixty and seventy year old men and women to make this into some hyped-up situation from 36 years ago....well, why won’t they waste time talking about the same business going on today....with the promiscuity, drugs and booze being commonplace?

I’m afraid to say that this Ford gal was probably like this. I’m speaking scientifically here when I say she probably masturbated five times per day...maybe more in high school.

Maybe the person himself won’t come out, but surely this gal had a reputation.
Reportedly, her HS yearbook recorded she had 54 some odd sexual encounters before she made it into college.. Other reports claim another student in the class was referred to as Kavenaugh’s doppleganger,..close appearance and easily confused by a stranger.
From those 2 points, I don’t have any trust or confidence in either her report or these delays in the confirmation.
The more consistent modus operendi is the method of Democrats to have no ethical bounds, pretend to be offended when they promote the most amoral activity, and they attack anything which appears to be honest and honorable.
IMHO, the entire affair is a sham.
BTW, if Kavanaugh was corrupt, the Democrats would love him, ergo Kavanaugh is clean.
Well, I think these boys you are referring to...that might have ‘been involved’ with Ford....don’t really want to come up now at age 55....married (happily), and admit that they engaged with a slutty teenage girl on numerous occasions. I think most successful guys would avoid this topic.
Go over to a typical high school today and bring up the topic and I’ll bet that the 100 male seniors will privately point out five young ladies from the junior and senior classes who’ve done more than thirty guys in two years.
The people calling for the FBI to investigate want the SC treatment for Kavanaugh, friends, and classmates. They want to force those people to hire $1K per hour lawyers just because they know Kavanaugh. It is not going to happen, but that is what they wish for.
I agree, but the kids know who these women are, and the boys too. You see it at a young age. These girls are different.
We had a girl in our family, a cousin. We all went to the same Univeristy together. I was a senior. I helped her get into a sorority.
Next thing I know, actually, several months later, I start hearing about this girl at the trigram house who is pulling “trains” and such. I think there were one or two pregnancies and abortions arranged. She drove her poor mother crazy.
She’s now very religious, happily married. She probably laughs about how loose she was, don’t know.
But I bet you there is much more to the story here on Ford. Where are the parents? I bet this gal was a hand full. I bet she was a perpetual liar.
BTW, I can just imagine when someone from the GOP asks a question of Ford that is to the point. the other side is going to jump all over them.

No interrogator worth his salt would ask such an open-ended question. The question is practically begging her to go on a five-minute rant about social injustices, systemic sexism, how "outraged" she is, etc. - during which she need never actually admit how many sex partners she had as a youth.

The trick to not "getting caught up in a lie" is to not make any factual statements - just go on and on about "feelings."

There is literally nothing to investigate. She admits she cannot recall the date or place and all of her witnesses say it never happened.
Why was she in couples therapy? Perhaps bedroom problems?

Judging by the yearbook she was quite conditioned to alcohol. Might have taken more than a bit to get a buzz.
Beyond that the FBI wouldn’t know if they had the correct building or not since she can’t remember where it actually happened.
