Request prayers for my father to pass peacefully to the next life above. He had a massive stroke Sunday and is now in hospice.

I have been taught that you should never wish the end for anyone but if it is God’s will then may he go gently in the arms of angels.
And, more importantly, may God’s love grant you and your family peace and what comfort is possible.

I understand where you are at.
My mother passed a few years ago - after a stroke that left her paralyzed on one side, and mute, but her mind mostly sharp. We all cared for her at home but watched her shrink away over a year and suffer from various infections and ailments caused by paralysis.
Then early this year, our active 92 year-old father passed within 2 weeks after a heart-attack. He had no pain, his mind was clear, and he simply got weaker. By comparison, his death was a blessing for a strong man who worked his entire life and had to be active. May God give your father peace
