NBC published this video report yesterday about a family in Cambridge, Massachusetts which has decided to raise their 3-year-old twins as “theybies.” That’s a thing, apparently, albeit with a relatively small number of people thus far. The idea is to raise kids without ever referring to them as boys or girls, he or her, or any other binary gender language.
NBC reports only a few hundred parents nationwide are taking this path at present. Even if it’s really a few thousand, that not very significant in the scheme of things. As someone who believes there are innate differences between boys and girls, I can easily imagine both of these kids growing out of this phase on their own, if they’re allowed to do so by their obviously far-left parents.
It does worry me a bit that these parents plan to tell their kids that gender is fluid rather than to tell them that there’s more than one way to be a boy or a girl. Wouldn’t it make more sense to raise boys as boys and then try to avoid some of the stereotypes you think are harmful, i.e. telling them boys never cry?
So, for instance, I wouldn’t start discussing race with my three-year-old because it shouldn’t matter, but if he asks, I’d tell him he’s Caucasian or white and some people are different and that’s all good. I would not tell him race is fluid and that he can be whatever race he feels like he wants to be from year to year.
I’m also not sure it’s a great idea to tell kids gender is fluid at age six when you know 99.9% of the world doesn’t see it that way. Do kids in their elementary school have to call them “they” too? What if the parents of those other kids feel differently about the whole premise behind this? Refusing to assign these kids a gender may be protecting them in some small sense from stereotypes now, but it’s also inviting a lot of additional difficulties that most kids won’t face. It also denies the possibility that there might be some positive aspects of having a gender identity before you become an adult.
As strange as this parental approach seems to me, it also strikes me as inevitable. If you believe, and most people on the left already do, that gender is culturally constructed and that it has nothing necessarily to do with your sex at birth, then what matters is how you feel. It’s the logic of transgenderism applied to toddlers.

Gender dysphoria is real. Toddlers have it. They have zero problems though, they just are attracted to toys and things that usually attract the opposite sex. Let them be. Just like you might allow a toddler with autism to spin the wheels of his toy car to get joy, rather than forcing him to roll it on the floor, so let the little boy play with a feminine doll. Let them be them. It doesn’t make them not a boy. It’s a brain dysfunction. They deserve love just the way they are born.
But this BS about parents not wanting children to have a gender is total jokeland. They are fools.

By doing this weird sex/gender thing, they are actually reinforcing gender stereotypes.
Instead of the good old days where a boy playing with dolls and a girl being a tomboy was OK, now, there are *girl* activities and *boy* activities.
And instead of *It's OK for a girl to be a tomboy and enjoy hunting*, for example, now if she likes to hunt or he likes to play with dolls, that means they are the *wrong* gender.
Now a girl who likes to hunt is not just a girl who likes to hunt, she's told that she's really a boy in a girls body. So they are actually reinforcing gender stereotypes based on activities and likes and dislikes instead of biological sex.
I’ve thought of that too. Like if they really try to beat preferences out of people, what about the transgender girl (born boy) who is DYING FOR GLITTER AND LIPSTICK AND PINK TULLE? Well, it wold be wrong just because she is now a girl to go for something so stereotypical!! How dare the “new” girls be so narrow minded!? I don’t care how many body parts they lopped off; just because they are now girls doesn’t mean they should play with my little ponies. They should get out the monster trucks and GI Joes or they are no better than sexists!

Saw yesterday there is a ‘local’ bank (You know, the kind where you walk in and the teller asks which account you want the deposit and either cite the ‘pet name’ or last 4 #s) that merged with another ‘small’ bank with the results being 100 or so either let go or LEFT because of the ‘big bank’ policies being put in place.
They made ‘mandatory’ to have a 1500 buck balance in ‘certain’ checking accounts.
ANYHOW, the businesses are starting to bail out and one of the bailers was a local ‘charity’ that runs around collectng money from other and doling it out to those they deem worthy and needing legitimate assistance.
Strictly non profit RUN by the rich to serve the poor (way it used to be). Well, said charity bailed because they said why should they keep their money in a bank that the people they ‘help’ can’t afford to maintain an account in.
Kind of smarmy and right out of ‘Libville’ BUT yes, the bank can decide to do whatever it wants to do - the PUBLIC will eventually set them straight - but it is also the right of the ‘investors’ to go elswehere.
Sort of like the dilemma that the NFL is putting itself into - YES, the players are your employees and you can set ‘standards’ to allow them to do or not do certain things BUT the MONEY to allow you to have bragging rights to ownership of a very small ‘club’ comes from the PUBLIC you are ‘serving’.
WEEWEE enough of them off and you may just finding yourself either losing your bragging rights or end up selling your ‘investment’ for pennies on the dollar.
