Start a GoFundMe Campaign to build the Wall and let the American people contribute and build it in spite of the spineless, gutless political vermin in DC.

You are exactly right.

Congress will not fund nor build the wall. We must literally do it ourselves.

Put $5B in a black ops budget and just have the Army roll out and build the darn thing.

Don’t know the answer to this but, I wonder where all the new tariff money is going? Could it be directed to the wall construction?

Jerks. That Wall and the added security will pay for itself and after that, it will be socially and economically profitable every year. Less violent and non-violent crime, less govt services extended, less competition for Americans at the lower end of the job market.

I still can’t believe Trump and other conservatives don’t publicly deride Mexico’s govt for ruining a perfectly good country and people.

$5 billion is a round off error in the federal budget

That’s what these SOBs think of us.

‘Start a GoFundMe Campaign to build the Wall and let the American people contribute and build it in spite of the spineless, gutless political vermin in DC.”

The federal courts will stop it if the money is raised or appropriated. Until Republicans are willing to kick out their “moderate” GOP Senators, who are more concerned with the desires of the donor base than the electorate, there will be no wall.

The US Senate is an example of the best government money can buy.

We really need someone who understands the importance of border security as Senate leader/speaker.

Not much is more important than securing our borders.

I’d have the military reposition its training along the border. Nothing like a a constant flurry of bullets if you do make it over the wall onto our very long training base!

If the Senate cuts the House wall funding, Trump should veto and keep vetoing until the Senate decides to play ball. Trump can run against the obstructionist Senators (Dim and Repuke).

This would be a great idea if a known recipient could be named, a recipient beneficiary who could apply the funds to border security. This is possible as explained below.

Then there is a question of who can authorize construction. This is also possible as explained below.

It needs to be more than 5B which is proposed for 200 miles. There are 800 miles that need funding, so propose 20B as a goal.

With 20B as the goal and an average $100 per year per donor, it would take 30 million Americans 5 years to raise 75% of the goal. Rich Americans could make up the difference of 5B by having 2 million of them donate $500 per year for 5 years.

As for the beneficiary and authority, a special pass-thru trust would need to be established as part of a nonprofit that would receive local, state, federal authorization to contract and build structures and systems according to the President’s border security plan.

But all the above would NOT need to be completed as the commitments themselves would translate to votes that would compel Congress to get it done.

There will a huge budget battle starting the first week of September with the President following through on his threat to shut down the government unless Congress gets him funding for the Wall.

Earlier this year, the budget battle was hampered by military funding fights. But Congress finally acquiesced and gave the President 700B for 2019 and 719B for 2020. So military funding is off the table for this September.

The President holds all cards to shut it down before midterms. And we can be assured he will not back down. The shutdown will be extremely popular with Americans just as it was in 2013 over Obamacare but where voters were betrayed by Boehner. Americans want the Wall and they will get it.

Perhaps a people’s march on DC would help Congress find their gonads.

This is why a substantial Senate pick-up is necessary this fall.

Trump needs more Republican Senators, enough to offset the constant wafflers who will hold up wall funding, SC nominations, etc. - all vitally important.

Thus the importance of the Senate races this November, if for no other reason than to override the Republican Party’s own wimps.

Congress will not fund nor build the wall.

The left, when they gain power, will tear it down or just starve it financially. WTF is wrong with this country!!!
