Taking a week off centered on the Fourth.
Anyone have any good, current book suggestions?
Subject matters of interest: History, Politics, Historical biographies.
(No offense to anyone, but Bill O'Reilly's historical books are not of interest to me.)

Any comments on that one?
“1776” by David McCullough. I just finished reading it again.
I read a fascinating biography of TR many years ago. I think the title was something like “The Last Lion”.
Very readable. TR was about as patriotic as they come.
“Leftist Policies that MAGA”
(it’s a very short book)
Angel in the whirlwind- Bobbrick
Command Decisions (Lessons Learned of the Conflicts of the United States Army During World War II) [Includes Battlefield Maps]
Well worth the read.
Visit the Red Hen wearing a MAGA hat. Order tea. Nurse it for two hours. Order food. Complain about it and don’t return it. Tip the waitress 40% of what the bill would’ve been.
Anything by Matt Bracken.
'Ronald Reagan, The Notes' by Douglas Brinkley
'Washington' by Ron Chernow
And, if you want to understand the elite progressives read: 'The Bully Pulpit' by Doris Kearns Goodwin
The Bible. And I am not kidding.
For something related but not well-known, get a copy of The Book of Enoch. I got a copy on the advice of my Pastor and I have since bought one for a relative who was interested in it, and I lent my copy to a friend and he is reading it on his vacation right now.
It is truly fascinating. Cost is low...about 8 dollars plus shipping.
July 4th is important only because George Washington secured our Nation’s birth.
James Thomas Flexner wrote the absolute definitive book on Washington titled “Washington, the Indispensable Man.” You will have an entirely new appreciation of Washington and what a near thing our independence was.

That sounds very appropriate! Thanks
I have read many biographies, but none on TR. That would also be a very good choice. Thank you.
