Han Solo’s Blaster Replica that Slings Rubber Bands

Star Wars has become a pop-culture phenomenon, Harrison Ford who portrays Han Solor is a very popular one.
When one think of Han, we can imagine him quick drawing the iconic blaster pistol.
Youtuber Slingshot Channel guy, Joerg Sprave, liked the weapon so much that he made a functioning rubber-band replica.

Who knew it was based on the real Mauser C96 which shot a 7.63x25mm (almost a 9mm)? Sprave did a great job of recreating the look of Han’s blaster right down to the weathering marks.
Yes, this toy isn't a real gun, but if you’re a fan of Star Wars, you'd probably love to have this to play with.
Also, isn't cool to use glow sticks as ammo to simulate the laser blasts? You've just got to love this guy's creativity. See the full footage of Han Solo Blaster here.

I have a Mauser C-96 Broomhandle. 7.63 Mauser isn’t almost 9mm. It is smaller but is a very fast round. Before the 357 magnum came out in the mid 1930s, 7.63 Mauser was the fastest handgun round in the world. This made it popular with gangsters in America in the roaring 20s because it was the only handgun round that could penetrate car doors. The Soviet 7.62X25 round which is also very fast and which can also defeat low level body armor is based on the 7.63 Mauser round.

The Broomhandle is iconic being one of the first automatics ever made. Winston Churchill had one of the early ones with which he gunned down 3 Dervishes at the Battle of Omdurman. They have a long history in films including From Russia With Love. Check out what the bad guy is using in the battle at the Gyspy camp.
