Why Trump May Be America’s Last Republican President
American Greatness ^ | May 31, 2018 | Spencer P Morrison

. . .we need to discuss the fact that immigration is changing, and has already changed, America’s political landscape—for better or worse.

For example: with the exception of the anomaly of Ross Perot in 1992 splitting the Republican vote, American-born voters have not elected a Democrat as president since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964. That is, every Democratic president since then—Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton (second term), and Barack Obama—won because the immigrant voting block tipped the scales in his favor.

Another example: since 1960 California’s population exploded from 15.9 to 39 million people. This growth was almost entirely due to immigration, much of it foreign. In fact, some 10 million immigrants currently reside in California. This has changed the voter demographics so significantly that California is now a one-party state.

Hard to argue with the logic here: immigration turned California blue, and it's turning America blue.

True. Demography is destiny and we are losing that battle.

There will be a Republican party but it won’t be a conservative party.

for better or worse

No choice here; it's definitely for the worse.

Jeezus, this is “news”?

It’s the story of the century!!

Turning America in to Mexico means that far Left thugs end up running the country and we all end up in Venezuela with nukes.

Nothing like some good old fashioned upbeat positive comments. /s/

If I’m not mistaken, similar attitudes forecast doom and gloom to the extent we’d never see a Trump type of president.

Don’t buy this argument at all. We’ve been hearing this forever and they also told us that Trump couldn’t win because of demographics. While the immigration trends are concerning, voters consistently change over time based on a variety of factors, some race, some economics, some geographic, etc. Trump is reshaping not only the Republican Party but also American politics.

Once either FL or TX flips to consistent blue, it’s over. Thank the Bushies and other principled conservatives who sold us down the river. Enjoy Trump while we have him and never forget the #NeverTrump’ers are dangerous to the safety of you and your family.

This has changed the voter demographics so significantly that California is now a one-party state.

Mostly because the Country Club RINO CA GOP has been too incompetent to convert the next generation away from Marxism. Since they can’t do that with Millennials, either, their prospects are dim.

The human brain is not a static commodity - the GOP just has no message capable of changing even the shallow, facile opinions programmed in by the Left.

Best argument I’ve heard recently for building ‘the wall.’ But building the wall won’t do much good unless we muster the national will to start deporting illegals en masse. And it may be too late to do that.

NOT SO FAST, everyone. The country is far from over. Consider:

1) The Dems are so hard-left that a parent would be nuts to let their daughter play a sport that requires changing in a locker room...not to mention all their other hard-left positions.

2) Ted Cruz is now LEADING among HISPANICS in Texas (46-44). He’s also in then high teens among blacks (news article this morning). In 2014, Cruz and every statewide Republican won 40+ percent of the Hispanic vote...they may be immigrants, but the Dems do not have a hold of them, at least not yet, in most states (other than CA, NY, and IL).

The first item is leading directly to the second. Hispanics and even blacks are wondering just what has become of the Democrat Party. Had the Democrats simply stayed with Bill Clinton’s agenda and policies, then yes, they’d have a lock on this country due to demographics - but they seem unable to ‘resist’ a HARD LURCH to the left - so the country remains in play. It is far from over.

Actually, the opposite is true, and the left is beginning to understand this. That's why they're becoming increasingly shrill and aggressive.

Individual freedom, self-determinism, self-interest, and socioeconomic mobility based upon effort and merit are fundamental drivers of human behavior. This is why Communism/socialism has consistently failed, why there are few monarchies left, and why there has been a backlash against government around the globe.

When push comes to shove, people will act and vote accordingly. Actually, it was this aspect of human behavior that was used by the left to attempt dividing us based upon race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic class. They made it appear to minorities, the poor, and the dispossessed that voting Democratic was in their best interest. It is now becoming clear to many of these people that this isn't so, and it will continue to be more and more apparent - because the truth is that the Democrats and left are not good for them.

The most selfish narcissistic people I've ever met in my life were/are liberals.

It’s why drunken abusive husband and murderer Ted Kennedy pushed through the immigration act of 1965.

The republicans need to run real men and women, not some stiff in a suit like Romney. It won't be easy to run candidates like that because the rino’s will fight against them. The republican party can survive if we rid it of scum like the turtle and mccstain.

When was it? In 64 and 80 the GOP did NOT want the eventual candidates. In the 50+ years that I've been voting, my votes have almost always been simply anti- RAT.

I think President is trying to change that. Look at what the unemployment numbers are for minorities in this country? I saw a poll were as many as 25% of Blacks support President Trump.

You miss the important point. What good is it voting GOP if it gets us backstabbers like McCain and Rubio? Progressives control both parties now. The Long March through American institutions is complete. It couldn’t be more clear after Obamacare non-repeal and the stinking pile omnibus bill.
