I'd like to be able to see and/or search all keywords that have been used with FR posts - for example, https://www.freerepublic.com/tag/maga/index (and exclude those that have never been applied to a post - for example, https://www.freerepublic.com/tag/abomasum/index).
I would like to sort my bookmarks by date added.
I think we “sort of” already have it.
It is called Google. Within seconds of posting it is there. (I hate Google, but it does work.)
Search> “screen name” “freerepublic.com” “subject”
I would like to search for a title by a word (aside from the, a, with, etc., of course) and not be told that no such article exists when I know it does. Perhaps this is too much to ask for?

A little off topic. I’m using my Samsung G7 Android for most of my FReeping. Since the last server upgrade, most any time I go back to the main page after reading an article it goes back to the top of the page instead of to where I was. It makes for a lot of scrolling. It only does it on my phone, only does it on FR, and it is annoying as the dickens. Anybody else experience this?
That’s pretty much how I search for articles. Using a keyword
or two from the title. I’ve found that to be effective.
Put it on the App Store with some exclusive bells and whistles and charge a small monthly subscription.
It would put a nice dent in the maintenance costs of the site.
An FR app would have to have a robust backend to which to connect, which FR clearly lacks. Also, the maintenance costs for this site are not where the money goes.
I think you should be able to search on DATE.
Just type in a date, say 09/11/2001, and articles starting at 12:01am 09/11/2001 pop up. That way, you can get a play by play of articles as things unfolded on any given day.
Yes, I have that also on a mac laptop.
I use the ‘exact phrase’ for articles search....if a no show then I post.
How about getting the “Activity” tab fixed? It used to show how many hits a thread was getting just by hitting activity tab. My hunch is it still works but only for some.
Hit activity tab and ya get; “Your query returned no results.”

Another addition is to auto-place the cursor into the text box of a Reply screen. It’s obvious we are going to enter text when selecting Reply to a post.

It does amaze me how quick it is there and how far back it goes. I’ve been able to find some of my thoughts way back with that approach.
At times, you have to resort to the wayback machine. Some web content is changed and they try to delete the prior content.
That can be harder. When the scrub attempt is done by people who know what they are doing.
Sometimes it is. Sometimes it isn’t, even with an article I saw that day and didn’t have time to self-ping.
