Todays Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends)
Tired of all this Winning yet? President Donald Trumps public approval rating in the Rasmussen Survey is now 50%, seven percent higher than the rating in the same poll for Barack Obama on the same date in his second term in office. This should not be surprising, given that Obama at that time was having to defend the Obamacare bill, which would take hundreds of billions of dollars away from working Americans, while Trump is currently promoting the Trump tax cuts, which give hundreds of billions of dollars back to working Americans. Funny how that works, huh?
Democrats in action. ICE agents were able to round up 150 illegal aliens in the Oakland area on Tuesday, in a roundup of known lawbreakers. An ICE spokesman estimated that about 850 more known criminals were able to evade the roundup, blaming at least some of those escapes on Oaklands nitwit Mayor, Libby Schaff, who issued a warning to the criminals to head for the hills on Monday. This intentional effort to ensure that known criminals remain at large among her citys population is what leftwingers like Schaff refer to as protecting the people.
More Democrats in action. Bizarre Barbra Streisand told Variety that she had her dog cloned. Hey, as long as nobody clones Barb, I got no problem with that.
Still more Democrats in action. U.S. Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy was horrified by the Korean tradition of eating dogs, saying that Dogs are friends, not food. So the skier admirably decided to engage in a little symbolism of his feelings, adopting a puppy from one of the countrys thousands of food dog kennels. Amerian social justice warriors, upon learning of Kenworthys compassionate rescue of the little puppy, reacted very predictably: They screamed that he is engaging in cultural colonialism and hammered him on social media. Because this is what SJWs do.
Hes been a real bug-eyed bonanza for CNN and MSNBC. The Daily Caller reports that California Congressman Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, has now given a phenomenal 227 TV interviews since President Trump took office less than 14 months ago. According to information compiled by the Republican National Committee, this means that Schiff has been on television more than 26 hours since last January 20. For all you Millenials out there, that is twice as long as a full season of Game of Thrones.
Speaking of Mr. Schiff, it appears he may be delegating his long-time role as official leaker for the Democrats on the House Intel Committee. When White House Communications Director Hope Hicks refused to answer certain questions related to the presidential transition process which the Administration considers to be privileged in testimony before the committee in closed session on Tuesday, that fact was leaked to the media before her testimony was over by Illinois Democrat Mike Quigley. So perhaps Schiff has decided to share his leaky wealth.
Delta Airlines has gotten itself into a real pickle down in Georgia. After Delta engaged in a round of corporate virtue signaling late last week, cancelling a long-time discount ticket arrangement for members of the NRA, the Georgia Senate took up a bill that would retaliate by cancelling property tax exemptions Delta enjoys at its Corporate headquarters in the state. Delta officials spent all day Tuesday scrambling for a way to retain both their virtue signaling posture and their tax breaks, but thus far the states Republican officials are holding firm.
This action by the Republicans in the state is something that would have never taken place in the past. Up until this time, timid Republicans just sat by and took insults like Deltas action against the NRA meekly, hoping that, by remaining quiet and hunkered down under their desks, they could avoid any negative attention from the hostile fake news media. But this is the age of Trump, and Republicans are finally learning from the President that they can win with the public by taking bold, principled stands. Its really sad that it has taken until the year 2018 for a very unconventional President to teach Republicans that taking bold action to support your friends is actually smart politics, but hey, better late than never.
For its own part, the NRA issued a statement in which it said that actions such as that taken by Delta are a shameful display of civic and political cowardice. Kind of like the actions of the Broward County Sheriffs department during the Parkland school shootings. Couldnt have said it better myself.
Just another day in singin the Delta blues America.
That is all.

government shouldn’t give exemptions to begin with... and delta should be able to do as they please with discounts...
i didn’t join the NRA to get discounts, but to deter tyranny... so far, 50% off tyrannical oppression...
bwahaaaaaa love it
New York, Virginia court Delta following backlash from Georgia Republicans
the Obamacare bill, which would take hundreds of billions of dollars away from working Americans,
I doubt Delta is all that blue.
Those offers are meaningless gestures by attention-seeking governors. Even without the property tax exemptions, Delta will be in a far better tax position in Georgia than in either of those very high tax states. Plus, factor in the huge cost of moving such an enormous organization and the tens of millions it would cost to replace all the staff losses any move would entail. Delta isn’t going anywhere.
I have people in Deltas marketing side and they were just sick about the stupidity of the insertion of a thumb into the eye of 5 million customers. Heads should roll.
I don't know about that. Have you seen the billions states are willing to throw at Amazon? Delta could no doubt work out some very attractive tax breaks to move...which would force Georgia to come us with some of their own to get them to stay. Delta would be very smart to encourage this kind of talk from other states. It's a no-lose situation for them.
“New York, Virginia court Delta following backlash from Georgia Republicans”
Delta obviously can’t move their hub out of Atlanta, for many reasons. So they’d be relocating their headquarters only, separating it by hundreds of miles from their main base of operation. And hopefully Delta will understand what happens when they try to spite Georgia in this way, as life can be very costly and difficult for large businesses when they’re despised by their governments, as would happen here - they may find a lot more ‘safety inspectors’ showing up unexpectedly at their Atlanta facilities, for example. The airline business is very competitive and having to work in an unfriendly environment can easily cost them their business, should the travel market soften just a bit.
Plus, other than a handful of brass, the employees there will be in for quite a bit of sticker shock should they be forced to relocate to Northern Virginia or just about anywhere in New York. No matter what the states provide, it’s hard to see how these states can make an attractive offer to people used to living in a low-cost area.
I’m sure Delta’s well-aware of these factors and won’t seriously consider moving their headquarters over something as trivial as this.
I will not fly Delta. Years ago, I was on a flight. I asked for an exit row as I am 6 4. The gate agent mistakenly put me in a seat with hardly any space. I asked a charming, well-made up and dress flight attendant about my predicament and she said, Well, what do you expect me to do about it? And laughed in my face. I just responded, I just wanted you to know how uncomfortable as a customer you have made me. I hope you enjoy my predicament! And walked back to my seat and shoe-horned myself in.
The other flight attendant came up to me, apologized and offered me another seat. I politely refused, stating that I wanted to really remember this incident when I traveled...next week.
Then, the first flight attendant approached me, and I politely told her that we had concluded our conversation.
Then the Captain came back to apologize and offer me another seat. I thanked him and told him he had a plane to fly.
When we got to the destination, the first flight attendant gave me an absolutely murderous look as I left the plane. Obviously, the Captain had words with her.
I havent flown Delta, since...and if I have to fly, it damned sure wont be Delta.
Uh huh, Delta’s gonna move to a high-tax state: Taxes, the “gift” that never stops taking...
NYS can court Delta all they want with taxpayer-funded bribes. But Albany can’t make us use it. And we won’t.
This is just a temporary set back for Delta...they will get their tax break just as the other states all give tax break on jet fuel.
All this is a grand standing by Casey Rino Cagle and his run for governor of Georgia.
Delta already receives jet fuel tax breaks from airports they serve such as JFK, LAX, SEA as do other airlines.
Best news is Delta to lose EXISTING and FUTURE tax breaks. Will believe once done.
Taxbreaks won’t matter if people refuse to fly it.
You know that Delta discount was offered once a year to the NRA annual convention. As for customers walking away from Delta...some will and the majority wont. If you live in Atlanta as I do there isnt a good choice as an alternative.
We better get off our collective rear ends or else November won't be pretty.
We need to hold the Senate and House...especially the Senate due to SCOTUS.
“Refusing” to fly Delta would be next to impossible. With so few airlines and all the Delta destinations.
I called Delta. I am Delta Diamond frequent traveler. My complaint was met with apology and agent said they are getting lots of calls. She asked me to submit a written complaint. I did.
And the Leftist, and GOP-E meida, is going nuts. “Oh Delta will leave GA now.” Total nonsense.
What they don’t understand is Delta is a giant because of its position dominating the world busiest airport. Atlanta is the world busiest airport. Delta needs Atlanta, Atlanta does not need Delta.
