Netflix made them an offer they couldn’t refuse.

There is no trilogy. There is only Godfather and Godfather part 2.

No.’s 1 and 2 are cinema classics. No. 3 should have been buried with Jimmy Hoffa.

Interesting. I've never actually seen the Godfather series except for clips on YouTube. I did read the book by Mario Puzo years ago.

I have a Netflix subscription so I'll have to check it out and see what the fuss is about. I did see The Sopranos on Amazon Prime. I believe the families portrayed in The Sopranos are the same families in the Godfather series. Only thirty years later and the focus was on New Jersey during the Sopranos.

Hope they can add some more classics. There aren’t enough older movies on there.

Cool. I have seen those movies so many times but never seem to get tired of the final scenes of Godfather I where they switch between the church baptism and the brutal murders being carried out. The contrast and hypocrisy is striking.

I’m waiting for Peter Jackson to adapt the dust-jacket notes into a 3-part expanded sequel.

Why stream when I can get/got all three parts as a BitTorrent and watch whenever I want.

Can’t wait. They had the GREATEST ob spoof of all time in a 3 years series. LILLIHAMER. Lead is Van Zandt known as “Frankie the Fixer” who goes into Witness Protection in NORWAY. Eventually becoming the Godfather of Scandinavia. Saw it three times. Enjoy.

All-time favorite movies...Parts I or II, of all time. There has never been one instance, while channel surfing, that I did not stop to watch. And that has been many, many times over the years. Maybe once a month. I am glad that I subscribe to Netflix, but feel bad for those who don’t, and who love this movie. Used to be free. Ugh. Needs to be free.

Old man Roth never watches Netflix, but Johnny Ola knows it like the back of his hand.

And Jack Woltz was the “Harvey Weinstein” of his day. His portrayal in the movie was tame, compared to how he was portrayed in the novel, where it said he molested young girls who auditioned for his movies, as well as the daughters of some of his actresses.

They are showing the Godfather triology on American Airlines right now. But I watched “The Wizard of Lies” starring Robert De Niro as Bernie Madoff. I hate his politics but he’s brilliant as Bernie Madoff. Ive watched it on my last 2 flights. The movie is just superb. MIchelle Pfeiffer plays his wife.
