The aftermath of the Las Vegas shooting has predictably lead to liberal calls for more gun laws and more disarming of citizens with at least one liberal college professor (is that redundant?) claiming it’s time the USA ban all guns. It’s the typical knee jerk reaction and attempt to never let a tragedy go to waste. However a newly released FBI study is demonstrating that liberals are trying to ban the wrong weapons.
Breitbart reports on the new FBI data and it turns the “guns are killing everybody” narrative on its ear. Turns out the gun-grabbers really ought to be focused on collecting blades, because that’s how far more people are injured or murdered: “The FBI Uniform Crime Report (UCR) for 2016 shows more than four times as many people were stabbed to death than were killed with rifles of any kind.”

They want to ban all guns because a population armed only with knives cannot stand against a weaponized government bent on enslaving them.
I finally tired of him and told him that if it was that damn terrifying, we wouldn't be having that conversation. He was actually at a loss for words as I walked away.

Kinda disingenuous.
The number given is *only* for rifles.
The total number of all *firearm* murders is 11,004. Quite a bit more than the 1,604 murders related to knives and such.
I get their point — why ban *rifles* when they don’t account for that many murders. But guns vs. knives ... guns are the clear “winner.”
If the Democrats could only make a law to remove that darn silencer off knives the world would be safer.

It’s true- why just 10 minutes ago i walked by a gun and it leaped to it’s ... whatever they leap to, and shot me dead for no reason whatsoever- But not to worry- i took some vitamins and am fine now

what the report leaves out is a comparison between how many died as to how many were saved by firearms

Check out England. A few months ago I saw a photo of a kiosk on a sidewalk that was used by their government to drop off all their knives. The pictures on the side of the kiosk showed kitchen knives.

As long as they don’t ban hunting knifes and just ban assault knifes it would be okay.
