Some guns are more valuable than others. You should hold onto these 10 guns if you already own them.
Like in real estate when its a bull market with time, these guns get more valuable everyday. For most gun enthusiasts, its a rule of thumb to hold onto guns, and thats especially true for these firearms. Here's a few:
What’s a ‘Garant’? :)
Darn, I only have an M1 Garand. Where can I buy a Garant?
On a long enough time line, every gun is priceless.
But a gun’s job is to help you provide for your family. And sometimes that means selling it to make rent.
Lord knows I’ve been there.
Garants are very rare. Few people have ever heard of them before this article was published.
FN Browning Hi-Power. Not “FM”.
That site has had a lot of typos lately - all seem to be consistent with use of a speech-to-text app. “Too lazy to proofread” is the take-away message.
Or keep someone from stealing your rent and food.
You can sell your spares but keep the necessities.
Exactly they are worth what you or some one else has to sell them for at the time you need to sell them.
My grandfather so a match set of 45 colt peace makers in 1932 for 20 bucks to put food on the table.
Walter?
Garant is easier to say.
My collection of older Browning Hi-Powers has now reached 27, in 2 different calibers. Have 2 more but they’re newer and chambered in 40 cal and a NOVAK conversion in 257 SIG.
“M1 Garant”
Garant?
Maybe “FM” makes the “Garant”?
(Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone but there is such a thing as an FM Hi-Power. I actually owned one - before my canoeing accident, of course. Here’s what I’m talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5WfHw8qlfI )
“My collection of older Browning Hi-Powers has now reached 27...”
DUDE! I’m green with envy!
The price of any firearm is what the market decides not what’s in that gun book. Example: I saw a Marlin Camp gun in .45ACP selling for around $800 at a gun show - the pricing book says its value was about $320 depending on condition.
I did sell a Walther P-38 police trade in, mostly because it was such a poor shooter. Otherwise my Liberty safe is still full...
From Wikipedia:
Genuine Browning Hi-Power P-35s are still manufactured by FN Herstal of Belgium and Portugal and under licence by Fabricaciones Militares (FM) of Argentina.
Whats a Garant? :)
If someone is posing an expert on guns, they should get the spelling an nomenclature right more often then not...
Doesn’t anyone read things before they publish them? This is just embarrassing.
