THE FAR RIGHT WON'T ACCEPT LAS VEGAS KILLER WAS A CHRISTIAN WHITE MALE
Newsweak ^ | Oct. 4, 2017 | ALEXANDER NAZARYAN

Posted on 10/06/2017 11:51:32 AM PDT by PROCON

The killer was a white guy, a Christian by birth if not belief. He was not radical, just a crazed man given the means by the gun lobby to terrorize innocent concertgoers in Las Vegas on Sunday night, shooting to death 59 of them. Stephen C. Paddock was, by all accounts so far, an ordinary American. That is what most terrifies the right.

And so, some on the far right have convinced themselves that Paddock could not be what he seems, what the authorities say he is. They say facts—alternative facts, perhaps—will inevitably reveal the truth, even as mainstream media outlets do everything they can to skewer that reality, so as not to offend the sensibilities of coastal elites.

This is how America grieves and mourns in 2017.

The lack of certitude about Paddock was conveyed by President Donald J. Trump himself, who on Tuesday was asked if the 64-year-old killer could have been a member or supporter of the Islamic State group (ISIS). There is no evidence whatsoever that that was the case, and although ISIS did attempt to take responsibility for the attack, this was almost certainly what Politico called “the terrorist organization's desire for publicity.”

The FBI has said ISIS is not responsible for the attack. Senator Richard M. Burr, who heads the Senate Intelligence Committee, similarly asserted that "it doesn't seem to have a terrorism nexus."

And if some international organization were directing Paddock, Trump would have surely known as much from the President’s Daily Briefing, which would have given him a clear overview of terrorist activity around the world.

Let’s do some leftist logic:

The author uses the letters “NAZ” as the first three letters in his last name. Nazis also use the letters “NAZ” as the first three letters in their name; therefore, the author admires Hitler.

So, if Atheist Hitler is a Christian by birth, then liberals who are Christian by birth and atheistic are even closer to Hitler! See how that works. Now liberals will label themselves Christians so islamist will kill them and us together in same labor camp.

"a Christian by birth if not by belief"

How sleazy can you get? If he is no longer a Christian, and has accepted no other religion, then he was either an agnostic or atheist WHEN HE COMMITTED MASS MURDER! But they won't call him an agnostic or atheist, they'll call him "a Christian by birth."

"Adolf Hitler was Catholic “by birth” which didn’t seem to help the Catholics he threw into the camps very much. This whole line of argument is ridiculous."

It is not only ridiculous, it is maliciously dishonest. It is bigoted.

“a Christian by birth if not belief”

If there is no belief, he’s not a Christian, it doesn’t matter if he was baptised into some church or another.

You could say Hillary Clinton is a Republican, by birth, if not belief :P

Well, that's a new one. You're automatically a Christian at birth if you're white and male.

If he’s so Christian, when was he baptized, when was he confirmed, what denomination, who was his preacher and where was the church in which he was a member?
When and where did he exhibit any signs of Christian behavior and belief?
How much did he tithe, if any?

At what point did Paddock say “The Tolling of Church Bells is the prettiest sound on Earth at Vespers?

That was my first thought. The first sentence is wrong, so why bother reading the rest if that is the basis. Just shows how little understanding the author has. Unfortunately, almost all the readers will not see this.

This person Stephen Paddock was no ordinary American, no way, no time, not ever. He possessed guns, to be sure, but so far, nobody has connected him to the NRA or any other Second Amendment advocacy group. He studied a LOT of loopholes in the law, and carefully skirted anything that would prematurely identify his future plans or intentions.

While the shooter Paddock may have been proficient in the use of rifles and other sidearms, there is no evidence that he demonstrated prudent and lawful adherence to the purchase, proper use, care, feeding and grooming of such firearms.

After killing people like that, he is going to burn in Hell. No promise made to him during any possible contact with radical or even moderate Islamic activists is going to change that.

LOL! “A Christian by birth”. Can you see such a description flying for ANY OTHER race, creed or color in such a context?

There is just as much evidence Paddock was a Muslim convert as he was a practicing Christian
