I ask myself: What does one write about when they have nothing to say? An even more prudent question is: Who would want to read it anyway? Well, I suppose if the writer had previously demonstrated the ability to put two or three words together in a coherent fashion, there may be those who would indulge him...or her. Then again, maybe not.
Is the subject of nothingness really that disinteresting? Many of us crave the moments we have nothing scheduled to do in exchange for something randomly pleasurable to do. Not all somethings are created equal, you see. It follows that when nothing is preferred, the 'something' must be pretty dreadful. You must agree, that's something.
If the creativity process begins with nothing, than that which is subsequently created will most likely be original and refreshing....well, at least original. You may be surprised to learn there are quite a number of good ideas out there yet to explore. I think some folks think we've run out.
When you ask someone what they're thinking and they say "nothing", rest assured they're thinking about something. Don't get too irritated with them, it's usually nothing anyway.
I've found that nothing is a great starting point for something. Anything really. The gift of imagination can create anything as soon as one is willing to explore its boundless frontier. I think I read that in a book somewhere.
Now look, I've went on about nothing for a few moments and feel like I've actually accomplished something. I suppose time will tell what that something is.
So what comes next you ask? Well.....nothing, of course.
