PHOENIX - Authorities have deployed safety tactics an an effort to disperse crowds in downtown Phoenix after President Donald Trump's rally concluded.
Video and photos showed authorities discharging pepper balls and tear gas toward crowds, along with the sounds of large noises, possibly flash bangs.
Phoenix Police said via email that some people began throwing "rocks and bottles" at officers. Authorities then responded with pepper balls and gas.
Trump spoke for roughly 90 minutes within the Phoenix Convention Center on Tuesday night.
Prior to his speech, hundreds of people gathered for hours outside the Convention Center in downtown Phoenix to either support the President's visit or rally against it, which remained mostly peaceful.

How many gathered inside the Convention Center? Were they showing support for the President's visit?

Well, they didn’t refer to the Trump supporters outside as Nazis or KKK members, so I guess that’s a small victory.
Although tomorrow that may change.
Fox showed the people who had attended the rally leaving on a glass-enclosed pedestrian bridge high above street, so it would seem the “rocks and bottles” thrown at the police came from the antifa types protesting below - it’ll still be Trump’s fault according to the press though.....

I believe that the opposition plans to make it “too expensive’ for Trump to speak anywhere by rioting, vandalizing etc. and posing as if TRUMP is the security hazard instead of them.
On the way out I saw 2 tear gas devices go off. Security wanted us to move along and not to linger in front of the windows.

I think you are right on this theory. However:
The opposition enemedia narratives are no longer working and won’t work in the future because Americans are sick of being manipulated by lying fictions and half truths being fed to us by the DNC propaganda press.
Their lying and fake polls and smears did not work during the campaign and the fake news with no sources have been exposed. The crowds’ enthusiasm was an indicator of Trump’s support then and it is now as well, even though we were “told” otherwise.
The enemedia is failing and President Trump is winning! MAGA!
Nonetheless, you and all those others who took a chance on getting attacked by the peacelovong mobs last night are very brave souls in my book......
