Wife unit and I just completed painting our childrens rooms. Theme should be between K-3 , boy and girl.
What posters/themes centered on education and religion would you put in their room?
Below is a small list I have brainstormed, and I am interested in things that just ARENT taught as much anymore or not emphasized enough.
When I was growing up my room was filled with posters to keep my mind going......most were hand made by mom. I'm sure there are nice ones that homeschoolers and teachers use that maybe I'm not thinking of.
Thanks! FReegards!
What say the Hivemind?
A good poster of the traits of a good man and a good woman. Let them see every day the character for which they are to stride. Simple and clear - it will sink in.
What a great idea! Much better than athletes or pop music people.
How about posters of the Declaration of Independence?

National Archives has a “Kids Decor” page, but it won’t load for me.

In our prisons we can broadcast the big fella 3 hours a day while they’re in their cells. The rest of the time it should be Barry Manilow.
Without a doubt, timelines and maps will be impressed upon the subconscious memory for a lifetime! I still remember the alphabet cards above the elementary school blackboards.
World Map and Globe!
Bible
Aesop’s Fables
10 Commandments, Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Gettysburg address.
Already have an order in for a 8x11 frame of the Lords Prayer, Apostles Creed, and Psalm 23.
Any good posters of Robert E. Lee?
I actually have these paintings in my office:
Religous:
Virtues of Godly Wisdom
Fruits of the Spirit
Lord’s Prayer
Ten Commandments
John 3:16
Love is.. from Corinthians 13
Images suitable for the age is of course important. Maybe the 3rd grader can select from a set of options?
I picked a patriotic theme when I was a kid. Loved it.
On one wall I have a large Washington Crossing the Delaware.
On another wall, I have a print of Mount Vernon with George and the Missus standing out front.
On another wall I have Lincoln in the Oval Office on one knee praying.
And on the mantle I have a clock which has all three presidents holding the stern of the ship of state.
In each of their bedrooms I had a picture of Jesus.
I forgot to add the large picture of Ronald Reagan on my mantle.
In order to help my sons learn about maps, in addition to world and other maps I put a map of our small town on the wall of their room and marked places they would know like our house, relatives’ and friends’ homes, our church, the grocery store, park, ballpark, etc.
I say a poster of Psalm 91 would be good choice.
Lots of historic US flags in 3x5 rayon are available. Colorful and can be switched out in seconds.
