Hello to all of you who have been so supportive to my husband. I have never visited Free Republic before, Just listened to him talk about how great this site is. I am not sure if he is going to make it through the rest of the year. It is so hard to watch a strong “take charge” type of person lose 60 Lbs. and diminish into a shell of his former self before my eyes. He trips and falls a lot. Fred has been the love of my life for over 35 years. Thank you so much for your prayers, which helped a lot more than most people realize. Thanks to all of you who have contributed financially to our cause. We were able to fix up one of the damaged rooms from the Hurricane, since the Insurance Company is still holding back some funds until the damage is repaired. We were able to pay some money toward his hospital bills. We are still struggling with the high cost of medications needed to at least make him more comfortable. We used to have a great life with plenty of money to see us retiring comfortably until one disaster after another struck, causing us to liquidate our assets over time. I never imagined so many people would come to our aid.
Our Prayers are with all of you. THANKS again !!!!!!

I can't say I know exactly what you're going through but I have an idea.
Mrs. Eagle has been battling fibromyalgia for the last 7 years or so. Our situation is very similar to yours. I'm sure there are many other FReepers out there in your situation as well.
Keep the faith. God is good. All the time.

It is so hard to be confronted with those enormous bills. We had planned so carefully, but when disaster strikes, it sort of gets the better of planning. We never thought we would join a go fund me page asking for donations from people. So embarrassing.

Fred has been complaining over the weekend about severe pain in his liver. Even though, so far nothing showed up, I am very concerned and will be taking him to the hospital to have it diagnosed. I’ll let you know the outcome.
