Fake Journalist Heads Explode Over Simple Military Tactic, Film At 11
DB Daily Update ^ | 5.25.2017 | David Blackmon

Heads exploded all over the fake news media last night over a Reuters report that, in a conversation with the President (i.e., Dictator) of the Phillipines, President Trump “revealed” the fact that the U.S. has two nuclear submarines somewhere in the general vicinity of North Korea: “We have a lot of fire power over there. We have two nuclear submarines, not that we want to use them.” The fake journalists who are trying to brainwash you want you to believe that this is the revelation of some deep, dark secret, right? Right. Trouble is, these two subs made a very, very well-advertised port of call in the general vicinity of North Korea just a few weeks ago.

As a friend who knows about such things reminded me last night, this is called “projection of power”, a tactic designed to let the Crazy Little Fat Guy who rules North Korea know that we’re keeping a very close eye on him. It’s been pretty effective, too, since we haven’t heard much out of the Crazy Little Fat Guy – who just a few weeks ago was widely reported to be about to lead the world into WWIII – recently, have we? We should not expect the abject ignoramuses who infest our fake news media to understand any of this, of course, but that doesn’t mean we should let our heads to explode, too.

Port calls serve two purposes for submarines, only one of which involves sailors, alcohol, and young women.

If you measure the sensitivity of the ‘two nuke subs’ to Hillary’s email server which had hundreds of cut-and-paste secret/top secret messages sitting in a bathroom closet...I’d say that Trump’s security violation is a two on a scale of one to ten. Hillary? Maybe a ten.

Did journalists complain about the yellowcake? Not a peep...

Each “boomer” can carry up to 192 warheads. I did some work one time years ago where one was stuck at the dock because their were issues with unloading the warheads. I was full of awe working right next to the thing. Armed guards every 20-feet along the sub and other security at various intervals going out. “As long as you don’t cross that yellow chain - you’ll be fine.”

They did not like the idea of being a sitting duck waiting for shore operations to get fixed.

Maybe they thought the reference to “yellowcake” meant they were going to be invited to another party at DNC/DPRK headquarters.

Among other things, it’s not unheard of as a military tactic to mislead the enemy by “accidentally” revealing weapons and units that do not exist.

The press didn’t get its panties in a twist at any time Obama revealed when his military actions would start and end. In fact the press doesn’t really seem to care in the least about military men and women being endangered. Unless it serves as yet another issue to use in attacking a president they hate.

“Each “boomer” can carry up to 192 warheads.”

At least one of these (and I’ll bet the other also) is the Ohio class variant converted to carry Tomahawk land-attack cruise missiles. Each boat carries 154 of them...

The airhead “journalist” probably didn’t realize that the “nuclear” part refers to propulsion, not necessarily armament.

Trident II missile range: 7,000 miles.

A ballistic missile sub in the same hemisphere is in range.

You are probably correct. North Korea’s bluster needs to be faced with our own bluster (show of force). And if it came down to it - I don’t think anybody wants a nuke exploding in Asia. Now a few Tomahawk missiles at some rocket-fuel storage areas.....

Not to mention the fact that the nuclear armed subs could hit North Korea from virtually anywhere... They never go near land when on patrol, the deep water is their friend. :-)

Tomahawks, on the other hand, have a relatively short range of around 800-1400 miles depending on variant.

Good point.

Yellowcake. Meh! I prefer chocolate with raspberry filling and dark chocolate icing. A little rum in the mix hurts nothing.

Wouldn't you want to be closer to deliver the ordinance more rapidly though? I would think launching from 5-7000 miles would mean a long flight period. These things don't fly that fast.

These subs were converted boomers, carrying cruise missiles and maybe SEALs. They would operate relatively close to the coastline while a true boomer would be out in deep water trolling along in the North Pacific expanses. No need to get anywhere near the coastline where you could conceivably hit a mine or get taken out by a Nork sub making a lucky shot.

Not even that sort of comparison - some "secrets" are open secrets. When I was in Korea, the meme was we had no spy planes but you could see the U2 type planes spiraling up each morning and spiraling down each evening for miles around.
