For as long as I can remember, liberals have supported legalization of euthanasia for consenting adult medical patients. As a libertarian, I agree with liberals on this issue.
Also for as long as I can remember, liberals have been opposed to the death penalty. As a libertarian, I also agree with liberals on this issue.
However, unlike liberals, I believe that euthanasia for medical patients and lethal injections for convicted murderers, have an equal amount of pain. Either both of these things are painful, or both of these things are painless. Since I have never experienced either one, I am not going to comment on whether these things are painful or painless.
Instead, I want to address the hypocrisy that liberals have on these two issues.
So here is my question for liberals: if you think that euthanasia for medical patients is “painless,” then why do you say that lethal injections for convicted murderers is “painful”?
Because liberals lives are one big contradiction?
Now we’re talking’. I’ve been saying for years we should outsource executions to Oregon. You never hear of a “botched” doctor assisted suicide.

The answer lies in the darker embraced, but not spoken part of liberalism:
1. Criminals are, of average, still ‘working age’, and ‘if their hearts and minds can be won’, they can still ‘contribute to society’, i.e., work and surrender their taxes to support the State, and thereby be called ‘good citizens’.
2. The folks that euthanasia is usually attempted to be sold to, are those of senior age, and therefore, ‘beyond working age’, and ‘physically unable to contribute to society’ as stated in No. 1, above. Liberals see senior citizens as a drain on resources ‘more needed’ for the working folks to continue to forward the State.
Liberals lack the ability to recognize irony or cognitive dissonance.
Because LIBTARDS are against the Death Penalty and lie about the drugs used, same drugs a Veterinarian uses to put down large sick animals or a doc uses in Assisted Suicide are painless. You must have it to be a liberal. The rest of us who live in Realville understand that execution is appropriate punishment for murderers.

I do think abortion should be legal, although I am personally opposed to it. I am very glad that my own mother did not abort me. I am against taxpayer funding of it. I think the pro-life position is a very valid one too. Also, there is no way that a healthy woman aborting a healthy baby can accurately be labeled as “health care,” and I think it’s ridiculous for liberals to call it such.
