Because the capitalism that they destroyed, has left the market!!!! So know the socialists can blame capitalism for failing. Despite all of the regulations licensing and non stop bureaucracy. It is the failure of capitalism.

Single-payer? Will be one of the last death blows to the land of the slave, the american people. It will take the american people 5 plus years to figure that out. Based on the reaction of ears care. Americans are very stupid.

No disrespect to the freeper americans ment.

.
The single sentence repeal is the only way to go.

The nonsense that these idiots call “health care” is slow suicide, and the very definition of insanity.

I’m in Florida. That bill came from a hospital in Pensacola. As expensive as it was though, those guys straight up saved my life though, so I am very grateful.

It is as if free market economics was magically airbrushed out of all accepted discussion.

Golly. It is almost as if obamacare was planned to fail and fail on the next president’s term.

Hasn’t he alwayalways been clear he supports single payer? No one anywhere in the government or media supports a conservative or common sense health plan. In 20 years, our healthcare system will be so degraded you won’t recognize it. Hillary/Obama/ Trump/Ryan - there isn’t much difference in their blhealthcare goals.

And this guy is a Foundation Professor at the Scalia Law School. Looks like after denigrating what he described as “crown government”, he is insisting on it now.

Everyone should have access to affordable healthcare insurance depending on their income bracket.

Single payer would mean mandated participation so it is a no-go right from the git-go.

If everyone has options but don’t advantage of at least some coverage in case something unexpected happens then they might be looking at things like an amputation instead of a rebuilding of a limb or possibly not getting the level of care for cancer or a million other things. People should be motivated to get some coverage but for young healthy people that coverage might be a $5k deductable they never use unless it hits the fan unexpectedly. Make that coverage affordable for their income, say $100-125 a month for people earning under $25k a year and go from there. Make it free for those working yet only earning under $18k a year. They will earn more eventually but they need coverage in the meantime like anyone else.

Only ignorant and stupid people would prefer this to a free market program.

Three hundred and 32 million plus 30 to 50 million illegal aliens. Umm. Where the **** is the money going to come from? You can only soak “da rich” for so long before they go off the grid. This clown is a real moron. When “single payer” is brought into play, the elderly on Medicare go to the back of the line. Obama’s “unaccompanied minor” gangbangers from Mexico and points south go to the front. “Single payer”? I don’t think so.

I wonder if any of the health care socialists in favor of the AHCA will show up here to label us as “purists” for being opposed to single payer, if the GOPe proposes it.

All federal health spending (other than for federal employees) is clearly unconstitutional, at least under the US Constitution that I have read. Most people are unaware of that. Part of the job of elected representatives is to help their constituents make informed decisions. They need to coalesce around a reasonable market based plan which encourages/includes such money saving aspects as healthshare, and then go around the country selling that solution. it may take months. So what? The Republic is at stake.

Single Payer will, indeed, end the process. There can be no more argument. Medicine will hit the gas pedal even harder on the way back to 1910 but with an added tower of bureaucracy. Single Payer i.e. total control of medicine by the government makes Medicine a department of government that has to compete for tax money with all the other departments. As a competing Department it will be just one among many and there are other departments that will always be deemed more important. Such a system will not be able to justify paying for medical and pharmacological research and because the American market is the only reason for the existence of such research in the whole world, it will end.

Politicians will rationalize that by saying we have the most advanced system in history. We don't need to advance any further. The real killer won't come until the last antibiotics are no longer effective and the mutated pathogens, being far more lethal than their ancestors will start to reduce the population, including the oligarchs. There will be no further replacements in the pipeline for the fading antibiotics.

You get sick, you die.

It will be a crisis at every election and the candidates will vie with each other to promise more government control while promising this constituency or that one more "fairness" and access.

This is why we need to pass a one line bill completely repealing Obamacare in its entirety.

Consider the source, the New York Putz. One step below the New York Slimes and two below the Washington Compost.

Not worth the waste of time to read it.

In regards to Vermont, I heard their state budget is $4.9 billion and single payer would have added another $4.6 billion to the tax burden.

Taxes would have skyrocketed in Vermont, and that’s why it was abandoned.

Plus, Vermont has a small population.

Trump should have never said there’d be health care for all.

I love what he’s done but don’t agree with that.

It’s not a right.

When you try to give EVERYONE EVERYTHING,you end up giving NO ONE ANYTHING.

It’s called communism.

Americans should reject “single payer” because that is not a proper role for the federal government. Government is blind force, and I do not want my health in the hands of a politicized and vengeful government.

You better take it up with Reagan then, he’s the one who started this mess by requiring hospitals to take everyone in.
